From what I've glomped on Twitter, the answer has been a resounding "yes," with people calling the Trump's traitors over it. While there's probably still enough die-hard Trump supporters to split the party when he runs as an independent, most of the GQP have long outgrown using him as an excuse to be assholes. His support of the vaccine was more watered down than Bud Light itself and that was enough to get him booed....out of EVERYTHING else he'd ever said to that point. Many are simping for DeSantis because he walks the talk and even for his impending loss against Disney, he's still done quite a bit to turn Florida into a safe haven for the worst kind of people, so he's getting support while Trump is being seen for the pampered egomaniac he always was.
The problem is the trumpistas turn on a dime. It won't be meaningful until next year at this time during the primaries. They have been mad at trump like this before. They got pissed at him during the primaries in 2016 because he was experimenting with some non-fascist ideas. They have no attention span, short memories, and are easily controlled by whatever sources they have. Maybe Trump will be out next year? I really doubt they will even remember this come a year from now unless someone in their command beats it like a drum for a year. They will probably still hate Bud Light because they thing they have other options to "woke" light beer. I would be amazed if they actually hated Trump for a long term over this. My thought is when the primaries come about the powers that be will be beating the Trump is the lord jesus second coming drum so loud all these people will be riled up for him. These are the same people who have said they would vote for him if he was in prison.
