His name was Buster Keaton

And he was a great actor and comedian, but alcoholism got him in the end.

Alcoholism, and/or French film theory.

But his legacy lives on in the films of Jackie Chan.
Y'know, those early ones when he was young and spry, and still had all his original bones.

And womanizing behind the scenes that led to two divorces with big pay-outs.

They still play his movies on summer nights at the Spreckle's Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park. Silent movie night is kind of cool.

That'd be pretty cool. Wish our local "art" theater would do something like that.

It certainly does.

They have a lot of cool free events like that in Balboa Park.

This video shows the location and you can hear what an old fashioned pipe organ sounds like. For Silent Movie Night they put a big projector and screen on the main stage.



On the upside most of those old silent movies were originally scored for a pipe organ as that was a popular instrument at that time.

We've been watching a bit of Harold Lloyd. Genuinely great fun.
