This just came out today. As a fan of the original movie, this was pretty meh. It had some good moments, but it overall had the feel of a lot of reboots/sequels to 20+ year old movies. Basically, it felt like someone wrote an original movie script, and then the studio decided to shoehorn in an existing franchise. The best part of the movie was the prologue, which gave us some backstory on the Sanderson Sisters before they became witches. The second best part of the movie was Sarah flying away on a Swiffer instead of a mop, and Mary flying away on two Roombas instead of a vacuum.
My daughter watched it before school yesterday. Because her school starts at 8:55. So I didn’t see it. The nine year old approved though.
