Actually, there are some pretty funny rockin' X-mas songs done by the old metal hair bands. You ain't done X-mas until you've heard "My Heavy Metal X-mas"

I usually just put iParga on random while I drive. The last few songs: "Doomsday Clock" by SMashing Pumpkins "Green GRass and High Tides" by The Outlaws "Live for the Moment" by Monster Magner "So What" by Metallica (That one's awful Christmassy) "Who'll Stop The Rain" by CCR
I like some Christimas music but stuff like Trans Siberia Orchestra and Manheim Steamroller. Even at that though if I listen to too much it really gets on my nerves. I really hate it when they constantly play it for days and days and days. So I listen to other stuff I like. My favorite song though is Holly Jolly Christmas performed by Burl Ives.
A few weeks ago I was playing Black Sabbath's Mob Rules during my prep hour. I had to go to the office for a couple minutes and forgot to lock the door before I left. Several of my 4th hour students arrived before I got back.
The Little Drummer Boy. Both the Bing Crosby/David Bowie version and one that Joan Jett and the Blackhearts did, circa "I Love Rock 'N Roll". I've got a nifty Christmas sampler CD but sadly It is in storage in Oregon. Speaking of Christmas CDs in storage in Oregon--if you ever get a chance to hear Kevin Kling's "View From a Card Table" you must listen to it. Kling is a Minnesota humorist and the piece is a 27 minute story about going down to Missouri in the station wagon, to the Grandparents' for Christmas, circa 1967. It has about 4 stories, all rolled into one, and they are all, IMO, hi-larious.
I like a lot of different stuff--some traditional carols, and some modern stuff like TSO and Manheim Streamroller. I also like rock versions of some of the carols, like Carol of the Bells (possibly by Gary Hoey?)
