    I am?

The various gods are varying manifestations of a single, supreme being.

Well, only if you count denigrating other people's cultures as a way of legitimizing your own.

So there is a supreme being in your culture.

And when have I done that?

My culture? I was raised in two cultures, both comprised of a mix of atheists, agnostics and theists. I am merely staying a fact about the Hindu religion.

Here are the basics of morality, in my reckoning:

. Treat others as you want to be treated
. All humans are equal and have rights
. Do not cause unnecessary pain or harm to any creature
. Try to leave the Earth the way humans found it

Remember when Jesus said love and forgive up to a point then he destroyed the Romans for what they did to him? Because Jesus preached old testament values.

Certainly tribal survival is the groundwork. The Lone Wolf is a myth. Belief systems are built on what makes the tribe feel safe during earthquakes and brush fires and thunderstorms ("the gods must be angry").

I just realized there's a perfect prototype for the Internet Libertopian:
James T. Kirk: If we don't help each other, we'll die here.
Kruge: Perfect. Then that's the way it shall be.
And over the cliff into the lava he goes...

Jeffrey Dahmer reportedly became a Christian before his death and repented of the evils he had done.

I congratulate you on a brief moment of honesty. You still displayed the soft racism of low expectations (to paraphrase you seem to think nothing more can be expected of Arabs and that we cannot hold them to the same standards as civilized people which is an excuse) but at least you can, for a brief period when shamed into, admit some truth. However haltingly.

That does put you above Chup with his (to paraphrase) "they were told they had to wait in line at the border until space became available so they are being denied due process!" nonsense.

    1. "The soft racism of low expectations" is the title of my sex tape. :async:

    2. No, that's not it at all. To the best of my knowledge, Algeria has never claimed to be "the world's policeman," or "a shining city on a hill," or proudly displayed a massive statue of a French chick welcoming immigrants to a land of opportunity, or attempted to impose the Algerian political system onto other countries by force. There are no Algerian posters here bragging that their country is the greatest country in the history or the world. So the bar hasn't been raised like it has with some other countries that shall remain nameless.

    3. Fuck off, drunky.

Jeffrey Dahmer loved people as a food source. If you're murdering people in order to use them as an entree, that isn't love, that's lunch. ;)

Which goes so far back in the history of humanoids we can't even say where it began. If you eat the heart and brains of your enemy after you've vanquished him in battle, you take on his courage. Not to mention prion disease. Remnants of that exist, at least symbolically, in the Catholic mass. "This is my body, which has been given up for you. Take you and eat of it." Of course, it's just a dry, unleavened cracker with the consistency of poster board, but the effect on innocent kids is sometimes chilling.
