I have made a number of threads in media central based on anime series I have watched. I would like to combine them into a Omnibus thread where I can organize them into a larger coherent work in progress. I know combining those threads and searching for them is a lot of work, and I was wondering if the software allows you to give me permissions to do such a thing. I understand computer security and if it is a matter of permissions that would give me administrative powers over other people's postings I understand any reservations you would have for giving me such authority. Since my only desire is to edit my own threads I would say that under penalty of permaban I restrict all editing to those threads that I have made. If I am such an asshole that would abuse such a request you would certainly be in the right to ban a person who would pull such a deplorable action. And if you do not want to do such things because it opens up a lot of danger to things around here I completely understand and am just asking. No rush, as I say it would be a work in progress and I could do it other ways.
What Diacanu said. And you can start an omnibus thread going forward. Copy + paste previous posts into the first post or two if you like.
Yes, that is my plan if it is not considered worthwhile. I am not even sure that the editing tools would accomplish what I want to tell the truth. It seems they could from how I have seen them used, but I am not aware of exactly how they work, and it might make the DB buggy which means of course I should do it that way. I am really asking if the tools are a convenient way to move stuff around like that. Clearly none of my posts are so massive that the extra space would be munging up the server storage so problematically. It is just a thought I had on getting it done, and it is just a request. I am not sensitive enough to think a no is anything other than a statement that it would be better done another way.
