just checking in after a long time away. I wish I had time for message boards. Still working and going to school. 10 courses left for my engineering degree. Taking 1 course at a time evey 8 weeks. Just put in for an engineering position within my company. I don't know if it will be less hours but it will be better pay. I miss being on this board and it will be one of the first things I do after graduation in 2017. I can't stop now of I might lose my momentum. Been at it two years now. Many times I have wanted to start a thread in the red room but I know I would not have time to follow up and I am not one to start discussion and leave. Kind regards, EP
It is, and yes, it's good to hear you're doing well. I wondered where you went, and I had been hoping life was looking up for you.
Busy Johnny. I never knew going back to school would take up,so much time. Time flies. I am 50 now and still in school. Some of the classes are fun. I don't think people get to old to learn, just too lazy. What does it hurt to use your brain?
I've been told by some that being older, and going back to school, gives you an advantage, because you're more mature, you're more likely to complete your tasks, and to take the lesson material more seriously than your early 20s counterparts. I say good on you for going back to school. It is never too late to learn. I still hope to go to college some day, myself!
Wow, I gotta say you sound like a totally different person than what you used to be. I assume school doesn't leave much time for drinking.
Yeah, but that's the kids. Most of them don't have families or jobs they care about, plus they have 20-year-old metabolisms ...
Just took a final and got a 90 but my overall grade will be a 94, another A and my next class starts on the 26th with 9 courses to go after that. I can't stop now.
