All my 1500+ posts have been weak attempts at flaming or trolling. Do I get a ban too?

Is anybody else bored by the mix of race baiting and HD trolling?

I'd like to know when it became a Red Room requirement that threads follow a traditional or accepted pattern.

I also want to know why Listkeeper is posting in the HD again.

That's always worked out so well. I suppose the inevitable flaming and trolling from him will again not be warned.

He'll be hailed as a troll baiter. Better than I ever was. Excellent.

You realize, don't you, that the one and only purpose of Zodiac's starting this thread, and the one and only purpose of Face's response that got negged, is to troll, don't you?

Warning the flame in response and not warning the underlying troll is exactly what drove the exodus to wordforge in the first place. Coddling the trolls of our Enterpriser wannabes while warning the responding flames is not a good path down which to walk.

Of course, but even trolls have rights.

And that's what separates Wordforge from TrekBBS.

Last I checked they don't have the right to troll the Help Desk.

You can't get around the need to make judgment calls on trolls like these. They thrive on being just barely ambiguous enough for plausible deniability out of context, and they take advantage of the desire of moderators to find comfort and solace in strict application of rules without having to use their judgment.

You know they were trolling the Help Desk, even though there are possible out-of-context interpretations of their posts that wouldn't amount to trolling. Warn them, or don't warn people who flame in response. But warning only those who flame in response to a troll is not an answer of any sorts.

Why? I mean, this isn't a sovereign nation. No one's rights are being trampled on. Why do trolls have "rights"?

Why shouldn't they? If the trolling causes no harm, why not allow it? In fact, our rules explicitly allow it.

Because we've all trolled at some point or another, so the label of troll is completely subjective, and as such, certain rights have to be extended.

Has the administration considered that Zodiac may be opening so many threads on DS because all his threads keep getting locked. And maybe, just maybe, if he were allowed to open one without it being immediately locked he might not open any more.

    Just think about it...

IMHO, we need a "detainee" designation for troublesome posters, perhaps with a special pip that denotes the wearer is not a WF citizen and therefore has no constitutional rights.

Sort of like TK Day Care, but classier. :)

Right, so if you get robbed you should post your address on Craigslist and note that you leave your door open so that burglars won't burglarize anymore houses.

I'm not really following that logic, Counselor.

You analogy makes no sense at all. Who was robbed? Listkeeper's preference to nanny control the red room? Do better next time POTN.
