Justified for the USA to a-bomb CSA cities if they could have?

  2. No. It didn't warrant it in the conflict context and would be mass murder!

Would it have been just for them to have lobbed them at southern cities?

If Sherman had had a few you'd still be able to read at night across much of Georgia.

And if Quantrill had had one, the same goes for Kansas.

Hell yeah the North would have used them. Most people don't grasp how close the North was to losing the war at a couple different times.

Nuclear technology in the 1860's? We would probably have ended up with a nice cheap clean source of power for our whole country.

Life would be like Road Warrior, if we somehow developed cars after a nuclear war. Because if not, it would be like that piece of shit called the Postman.

Just imagine it, driving all day in search of fuel, food, etc. and killing your way through it. I'd wear leather and a brace on my leg for no reason.

    Not really.

People focus too much on Virginia and the eastern theatre which makes the war look much closer than it was.

The Confederacy was losing the war from day one in the western threatre and that is where the war was ultimately won.

Yeah, and it would've been called Atlanta. The glow would have lit the southern nights for decades.
