Heya Folks. So, I find that I'll be in DC this week (June 30 - July 7) for a much needed vacation. I'm going to be all over various museums and monuments. How about we turn this into a fun game? You suggest a picture of a monument or exhibit or something and I'll head out there, take a pic, and post it. Also, if any Wordforgers are in DC and want to meet up for a beer or coffee, let me know.
Oysters at the Old Ebbit Grill. Ford's Theatre. National Cathedral. Spy Museum. Lunch in Georgetown. Arlington House and, of course, the cemetery in which it is based. There's a tour bus you can get that takes you all round the city, including by many embassies and ambassadorial residences. I expect you'll already be doing it along with the other obvious tourist sites but the Air and Space Museum is essential.
