    It's interesting to note that is the Vinhyagiri had been a more modern design, she might have not burned and foundered. Internal watertight subdivision and propultion methods has come a long was sinch the 1960's when the British Leander class(of which the Indian Nilgiri class is a copy) was designed. I'm glad no one was injured in this incident, although I'm sure a few careers have been scuttled!

    On family/open house days, I've had as many as six people in a tank turret designed for three people.
