    At this point, Iran is just engaging in useless posturing. The United States could blow the everliving shit out of their navy, and as of 2011, we are a net exporter of oil.

    Doesn't matter. US (and business) interests in oil extend far beyond just being able to maintain supply to their own country. Not to mention that prices would shoot up if there was any dip in supply.
