Associated Press and FoxNews are both reporting that a "side agreement" with Iran allows the Iranians themselves to "inspect" what is suspected to be a site where they were working on nuclear weapons. The Iranians can conduct the inspections themselves using their own cameras to produce photographic "evidence".

If true this is bat crazy insane on the part of the Obama Admin.

Why do you lie? I suppose we should give you the benefit of the doubt, you could just be a drooling idiot, your posting history does make that believable... So, let's play your little game of being too stupid to identify an obvious lie. Do you think the UK, France, Germany, Russia, and China are all ruled by secret muslims who are dumb enough to not have independent inspections? Because they are all part of the agreement.

Truthfully, you are so stupid and gullible as to be the worst excuse for an educator I have ever seen. I have seen middle schoolers with greater critical thinking skills than your sorry ass. Please kill yourself.

But when the American financial sector inspects itself, you're a commie for pointing out that insanity.

Oh, it's a real story alright, but it doesn't mean what Dayturner thinks it means, nor does it mean what FOX is trying to spin it as. Nothing about the deal says that their inspection will be the only inspection these sites will get.

Hey, correct me if I'm wrong, but when we've accused Dayton of regurgitating Fox Lies, hasn't he claimed that he doesn't get any of his news from Fox? I may be thinking of someone else, but I'd swear it was Dayton. Well, at least 51% sure.

No I watch FoxNews all the time. They said it was reported by Associated Press originally. I'll see if there is a link available.

Yes, that's the side agreement that Kerry discussed, telling the Senate that he and Obama weren't allowed to know what was in it, while the Senators said that they'd been told that the IAEA wouldn't be allowed to inspect the sites, and that the Iranians would provide their own evidence to the IAEA. The AP reporter got to see part of the agreement and confirmed that yes, the insanity is real.

Yet Faceman, Chardman, and ed629 have already insulted me.

You said that people who consider Fox News to Fauxnews are dickheads, so by that you are already insulting anyone who doesn't take Fox News as a real news source.

"Cause you are worthy of insults.

Well, you outright stated that it was an insane thing for the Obama administration to permit, as though the Iranian would be conducting the ONLY investigation, and that we'd simply sit back, and take their word for it. That not what the side deal says. It simply allows for a brief internal inspection/investigation, presumably prior to the international one. Nothing reported implies that the Iranians would be trusted to perform the sole inspection.

I see nothing in the source you provided about an international inspection being permitted.

Didn't recently say "My words. I own them." or something very similar to that effect. If so, then you've insulted anyone who even questions Fox News.

I see nothing in the source you provided about an international inspection NOT being permitted. However, the main agreement makes it abundantly clear that international inspections will always be permitted.

If that is the case why doesn't the United States just send in its own inspectors with very heavily armed escorts to inspect EVERYTHING we want to inspect at will?

After all, nothing in the agreement says they are NOT permitted do they?

Um, cause the agreement specifically says we won't do the inspections, but that such inspections will be performed by an agreed upon and impartial 3rd party. (Haven't you caught gturner's overly hysterical rants about us not getting to do the actual inspections?)

Look, these Iranian inspections are likely a simple CYA deal for the Iranian negotiators, who probably don't know absolutely everything their government has been up to over the years. If they say site X isn't a nuclear facility, and it turns out to be just that, it looks bad for all involved. Giving them a chance to investigate their own sites first, gives them the opportunity to negotiate with confidence that what they say about them, is in fact true, as they've seen them with their own eyes. Simple enough for you?
