Saw it a second time and, if anything, I liked it even more. It's not the A+ I was hoping for, but it's a B+/A- and, I think, a substantial improvement over 2.
I saw it yesterday and I was...disappointed. I thought it was a bit of a snoozefest. I almost dozed off a couple of times.
Having seen Star Trek Into Darkness, I'd say that it's pretty much on a par with this. Roll on Man of Steel.
I think this was my least favorite of the three. No Nick Fury, SHIELD, or Black Widow. Barely any Warmachine or Jon Favreau. Hell, barely any Iron Man that functioned properly. The villains were definitely a step down from #2. They were badass, but not very entertaining.
Missed it at the drive-in but the internet provides. I liked 3 a lot better than 2. 1 is still the best, but by a slim margin. Normally, a third movie is when sequels get really tired and you just want it to stop already...and that doesn't happen here. I still want more and to know what happens next. Also refreshing for there to be a kid in a movie that doesn't make you want to claw your eyes out from either bad acting or annoying, cloying bullshit that feels forced. It was a nice addition to the plot, really.
Just got back from seeing it. Great movie and Downey IMHO is going to be impossible to replace if they can't get him for the fourth one. Liked the banter with the kid. There wasn't any of that mushy type of shit that so often happens when a kid comes into contact with the main hero.
Was somewhat dissappointed that they killed Killian. He could have been in future movies. No problem at all with him being the Mandrian. In fact thinking about it it is a brilliant idea to have someone else be the face of the organization. Killian was definitively the best of the villains Tony has faced so far. Even better then Loki in Avengers. And saw the Thor trailer. Looks nice.
