Based on today's treason, a history of incompetence, attacks on the press, the undermining of allies and the daily misleading of the American public, is in now time for serious consideration of impeachment? Anonymous poll because I am genuinely curious to capture the mood after Trump's kissing up to Putin.
Impeaching a U.S. president for things President Trump has done to date would set an extremely dangerous precedent which as I've said would do more damage than anything President Trump has actually done. No future American president would ever be secure in office regardless of how he reached office. The U.S. would become virtually ungovernable.
By that logic, no president could/should ever be impeached short of capital murder. On the white house lawn. With news cameras from every network.
I bet you didn't say that when Clinton was being impeached. How can you, who claim to think America is the greatest country in the world and should come first in all things, see treason and support the purveyor of treason over your country?
Should he? Probably. Do I think it would be the best thing to do right now? Probably not. You could tear the US apart and that's not good for anyone.
Unless Russia has been designated as an "enemy nation" then nothing President Trump has done qualifies as "treason". Mere hostile or unfriendly actions are not enough. Something solid like some sort of declaration or break in diplomatic relations at minimum.
You really know absolutely nothing about the United States. The internal divisions it is suffering now are small potatoes compared to numerous times in the past both recent and distant.
There's a difference between the current state of things and riots on the street/states seriously looking at seceding levels of being torn apart.
They launched a cyber warfare attack on your nation to meddle in your last election, according to both the US intelligence community and the bipartisan House Intelligence Committee. But you need a designation...
Oh well, let's just leave The Donald to fuck with the rest of us then and embolden dictators abroad and hate and division at home....
I think its time to welcome our new Russian overlords. Republicans traded our freedom for a soccer ball. Its been over for a year and a half now, you are just realizing it.
In general, to me an act of war should actually produce bloodshed of some kind or at least the imminent possibility of it. Fiddling with a handful of vote totals or some social media actions do not measure up. As a lawyer I would think you would care about things being "designated" and "official".
Will you please quit with the "as a lawyer" insults. They do not work because you are a layman who doesn't have a remote clue what lawyers "care" about. Just makes you look ridiculous. Anyhow, I shall remember this one. You think it is perfectly acceptable for a foreign dictatorship to attack the United States as long as there's no bloodshed. Noted.
Given your whole fake WF persona is built around hyper-partisanship I would think you know. Now do please run along until you have something more substantial than banal one line troll posts.
Some of Vice President Mike Pence's actions have disturbed me of late. First, Chris Pratt's presentation of and defense of the Gospel at the MTV awards show was more clear than Mike Pence's keynote address at the Southern Baptist Convention this year. Secondly, VP Pence's follow-up remarks regarding the summit today were disturbing. However, I'm still in favor of having Vice President Pence in the Oval Office over one more day of President Trump. That said, give me one actionable charge that someone can run with in Congress. One. I have absolutely no problem with President Trump being impeached and removed. But, it has to be legal and due process has to be observed. So, give me one real charge that Congress can actually run with.
And once again you are lying. Yeah, definitely the lawyer background distorting your view "counselor". You claim just because I'm not manning the ramparts in outrage that I find something "acceptable"
If you didn't find it tolerable you wouldn't be arguing. You'd be here agreeing it was treason. But you are arguing it is not and therefore you are arguing there is no wrongdoing. No lies.
I never said there was no wrongdoing. You are trolling pure and simple. About like garamet routinely does.
And yet Ken Starr was able to stir the hornet's and get Clinton imprached despite him being considerably more popular than Trump has ever been, and somehow no one even attempted that for Bush or Obama, so....
