It depends on whether your post offends or impresses whoever chooses to address it first.

If they're offended, you're still a n00b.

The line is in between "Who cares" and "Nobody gives a damn."

When you get your first shiny pip.

If you need to ask if you are a noob, you are almost certainly a noob.

It's relative. From the perspective of someone who's been here from the beginning, someone who's only been around a year or so is probably still a noob. From the perspective of someone who's been around a couple of years, someone who's been around half that long isn't a noob.
