That's not a resource problem, it's a mindset/political problem. Or do you mean the sandbox countries don't have the resources to combat terrorism (in general) within their own countries?

The latter. I guess I assumed you were referring to the latter without reading your earlier posts (pardon me, this is a long thread). But in regards to the former, the EU countries do have the resources and do combat such crime. The instances of what you're referring to are actually much lower than the normal crime rate in those countries, you'll find.
And this is why we don't have meaningful discussions. One side assumes the other is lying. The other side backs it up with objectively reasonable data. The first side says the data is a lie and offers blog postings to refute it. Both sides retreat to their safety bubbles. Rinse and repeat.

As for the high crime areas actually being lower than the usual crime rate I would have to research that from multiple sources. I know in many western european countries they can't risk offending people or otherwise upsetting the official government PC narrative. In other words they want to go out of their way to show they are not Trump! That said if an area gets more & more muslim and they choose to be insular and not assimilate - it's not if but when shit will go south and it might not be gradual. And thinking long term a couple of generations down the road now europe has two dangerous demographic groups: the pissed off ghettoized muslims who are now indeed raising the crime rate and the pissed off average working people who blame their governments for denying there is a problem (thus not having to take any action since they don't believe that there is a problem). Then you might end up with a whole bunch of Trumps-on-steroids.

You don't crush an ideology with hate, stereotypes, demonising and caricature based slurs. You alienate people and drive them towards the very ideology you hate, while becoming the very thing you criticise - namely a promoter of division and prejudice.
