You're right, I misread the '88 for a '98. Still waiting on your proof that the US published the location of its nuclear missiles down to the centimeter.

"Nuclear facilities" would include things like nuclear reactors and processing plants. It does not list any nuclear silos so far as I can tell. Nor does it list the locations of the weapons on the military bases it does mention. In short, fail on your part, once again.

It also doesn't appear to be an official US government website, so that's something else Dayton got wrong.

Never played Wing Commander, not my genre. But I sometimes solo a bit of GW2. -- And with that, back to Israel.

    On the contrary.

    Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana
Gravity bombs, air-launched cruise missiles and advanced cruise missiles are stored at this site, the Air Force's main base for B-52H bombers.

    32.50122°N, 93.669777°W

    Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri
Various gravity bombs, including the B61-7, B83 and the new B61-11 ‘earth penetrator' are stored at this base for B-2 bombers.

    38.728577°N, 93.548369°W

    Bremerton Naval Submarine Base, Washington
The nuclear submarines based here are armed with Trident II D-5, submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

    47.743479°N, 122.731018°W

Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, Georgia
The nuclear submarines based here are armed with Trident II D-5, submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

    30.798917°N, 81.516581°W

    Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana
Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles, with a range of 6,000+ miles, can be launched from 200 silos at this site

    47.508563°N, 111.184473°W

    Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada
An assortment of B61 gravity bombs and air-launched cruise missiles are stored at this site, one of the Air Force's two main nuclear weapons depots.

    36.236035°N, 115.040588°W

Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota
Minot is home to 150 Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles (range 6,000+ miles) and a wing of B-52H bombers armed with gravity bombs, air-launched cruise missiles and stealth advanced cruise missiles.

    48.415017°N, 101.344585°W

F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming
Home to 150 Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles (range 6,000+ miles) over a 12,600-square mile area.

    41.145828°N, 104.869566°W

Note, to knock out a hardened target like a missile silo, you only need to get a 500 kiloton warhead within about 300 feet of one at ground level.

Anyone who thinks the Soviets did not know the precise locations of American ICBM silos are kidding themselves.

As has been pointed out to you, that list is incomplete. For the sake of argument, however, we'll say that the list is complete. It does not give the exact coordinates of the silos, merely the coordinates for the military base they're connected to. Standard practice is to put the coordinates at either the center of the base, or the main entrance of the gate. Of course, the US government has actively worked to provide false coordinates for locations it considers to be of "national security interest."

This means, that you can't trust those coordinates (which you've yet to prove are supplied by the Federal government). BTW, if you try to use a GPS device around certain areas considered to be of "strategic interest," you know, like the White House, you'll get a false reading.

To sum up: You've claimed that the location of all nuclear weapons possessed by the US have been publicly disclosed by the Federal government, that the Federal government would not lie about the capabilities of said weapons, and that if the US and the USSR had had nuclear weapons within close proximity of one another, there was conflict, as illustrated by the Cuban Missile Crisis. When called on this, you've failed to provide a US government source showing the location of things like nuclear missile silos, ignored that the US had nuclear missiles stationed in Turkey (those Jupiter 8 missiles I mentioned), and have demonstrated an overwhelming level of ignorance about the kinds of things that the US government keeps secret from people.

You claim that you're stated goal in life is to be POTUS, yet time after time, you fail to demonstrate that you can comprehend the basic principles laid out in works dealing with modern military practices. If you want any of us to take you seriously, then I suggest you start thread discussing the works by military experts which you've read. You won't do this, of course, because you'll claim you're "too busy" or what have you. However, if you're serious about being POTUS and doing the various military operations which you've talked about, then nothing would be more important to you than reading and discussing such works.

    So, let's hear your spiel.

If I had my way this shit would be over. They would call it the holy land because it looked like the surface of the moon. It happens because we allow it and our media is there fanning the flames.

This is not even a real thing. There is no such thing as "Bremerton Naval Submarine Base".

    Not even remotely surprising.

Holy shit, good catch. It's called Naval Base Kitsap, Dayton. Bremerton has the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, which is a shipyard, not a base for active Missile Submarines. Torpedo Town, USA! :finger:

Holy shit! Somebody other than myself knows about the"township" organization? Except back in northern Wisconsin everything was divided into 36 square mile townships. Six miles by six miles, with maybe 1,000 people living there, but that could be up to 5,000 people or so. Who uses six as a counting system?
Wouldn't five or ten make more math sense? Whatever, each 36 square mile township had it's won name on the topographic map.

There was some variation in the grid sizes, tending to get larger as you move further West. I think 10x10 became the ultimate standard.

How the fuck could you not know this? :wtf: Seriously, its been a topic of discussion for ages now. The fucking government was soundly mocked for requiring Google to blur images of the White House, etc. on Google Earth (and then cheering when they reversed this in '09). The guy who invented GPS blasted the government for the deliberate error it introduced into readings when civilians were allowed to use GPS units in the early '90s. (BTW, the civilian units on sale at the time of GW I were smaller and more accurate than the units issued to the military at the start of the war.)

You've claimed to read "Armchair General," did they not print articles about this? Its hardly been a secret. Both Popular Mechanics and Popular Science (to name but two magazines) have talked about it on multiple occasions. For fuck's sake, man, understanding the capabilities of such systems is pretty goddamned vital when it comes to things like national security. BTW, both the EU's "Magellan" system and Russia's GLONASS system, are more accurate than GPS (not surprising, since both of them are newer than the GPS birds).

Seriously, you claim you want to be President, but if you don't understand shit like this, you've got no chance of getting the job, and if by some freak of chance you did wind up with the job, you'd be the first US President to die at the hands of a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. And he'd get a medal instead of a firing squad, because it'd be obvious to everyone on the planet that he did the world a favor by killing you.

You may laugh, but nobody in this thread is doing themself any favors in their chances for a cabinet post in a future Kitchens Administration.

Also since you are vulgar in your replies I feel that I can ignore them.

Dayton has about the same chance of becoming President as I have of being named ambassador to some remote planet in the Andromeda galaxy.

    Fortunately.

Well, that, at least, is reassuring. If Dayton (the real one) was President, I wouldn't even want to visit the US during that time, let alone work for him.
