What's frustrating in this case is watching nations talk about the truly horrible Hamas attack, and I agree it was awful, but then they downplay the fact that Israel has murdered 20,000+ civilian Palestinians, and 10,000+ Palestinian children.

Instead of "what the fuck are you doing, Israel?!" It becomes "please, Israel, be more careful," and it's just like how the UN has to speak around the United States, who will obliterate 230,000 innocent lives in an oil war, because you can't make the US angry or they'll veto your plea to allow millions of hungry people to get food, because they have unchecked power. Israel is, of course, a US vassal state, and is untouchable.

I mean, seriously, the US has the veto power of 193 nations.

The US is a world bully, and watching 192 nations tiptoe around them while trying to uphold human rights, or else, is so much bullshit.

Hamas could make a ceasefire happen if they instantly returned all of the hostages, laid down their arms and surrendered en masse. They've got the true veto power here to stop any more bloodshed

Crying about them now when there’s been ample opportunity to make the Palestinian people safe, secure and healthy is hollow to me.
