There is one area where you do not want to chose white people. That is as captain of futuristic space ships. White captains get their crew into too much bullshit because they always want to explore. Think about it. In the star trek universe the invasion from the delta quadrant was stopped and the federation survived because sysco mined the opening of the wormhole and then closed it despite all the white people in the federation delaying and risking the alpha quadrant because of their stupidity. Also the best ever captain of a space type vessel is Lawrence fishburn. He was morpheus who was a pretty wise captain who saved the human race because he believed in the one and resisted the commands of the leaders of his world to help neo. Also, his girlfriend was wise enough to give neo her ship so neo could save the world when white guy captain would not. Lawrence fisburn also was the best starship captain ever in Event Horizon who saved his crew from eternal torment by ignoring exploration and realizing early to get the hell out of there. It was not his fault his ship was crippled during docking and he did everything he could to get his crew off as quick as possible and didn't even let his ship blowing up stop him from getting the survivors home. He also sacrificed himself to do so. So if you are picking future space captains who you want to have the wisdom to save this section of the galaxy you want to pick the black guy because white guys keep seeming to make mistakes that endanger us all. No one bring up Pickard because his bald ass nearly doomed us all dozens of times, and because he backtalked q he brought the Borg to us much earlier than we could handle which killed millions and almost caused a apace time paradox wiping us out when we first invented warp travel.

Yeah, I think the idea white youth are not feeling at home in their homelands is because diversity failed is a load of crap. I think they do not feel at home because the older generations got theirs and then sold out the youth by backing the end of regulations that made the "greatest" generation much stronger. They also have noticed that a lot of advice about bootstraps and how going to college is a guarantee of success while their family fortunes were pittled away in stock market gambling and on failed republican corporate welfare like trickle down economics was harming their generation overall as their grandparents and great grandparents died off and left them with nothing but broken promises and personal debt. Black people are not making them feel unwanted as an older generation that fucked things up and now blames them for not paying for their asses to be wiped by private nurses in expensive homes. My grandfather tells me black people ruined the world yet every time he could he voted for the people ripping him off. The last election he ranted about voting for trump who will cut his veterans benefits and social security so we will have to take him out of the assisted living facility he can just about afford to stay in now. It would not have been so much of a problem if he had not taken a bath in the Bush Jr. Years. I do not feel like I belong to his America because his America took and took their entitlements while not wanting the rich to pay any taxes. Someone has got to pay for the good life, and you cannot put it all on a middle class you voted to dismantle and destroy. White people blaming black people and brown people are growing smaller and smaller as we realize we were all sold out by the rich who never intended to let poor whites share in the pie. You are just so stupid you actually think it was those damned brown people who fucked you over despite the fact they were never in power to do so. No, you were fucked over by white people just like everyone else, and your white skin never meant you were a legacy.
@Tererun there is truth to what you say. Boomers were the worst: for all those reasons you mentioned and more. However, heritage & identity transcends ressentiment. “Blaming black or brown people” also isn’t a tenet of white identity. White Identity is a reaction to the double-standards endemic in anti-white liberal narratives and institutions, identity politics (for me not thee), and discriminatory laws and practices.
There is nothing wrong with diversity. The only thing diversity seems to be destroying is what white people think you should be like to be successful. However, they stop some of that from other cultures anyway. Our forefathers in America were rum running slave traders. They didn't like Europe because they had to pay taxes and Europe was giving up a lot on slavery. The colonies needed the slave tRade to industrialized where Europe was already mostly built so they needed less slaves than was being taken out of Africa. Europe enslaved the indigenous populations while the Americans had no home country to get support from to enslave the locals so they had to bring over people who would not be welcomed by the Indians who controlled most of the land to the west and really outnumbered them. Africans were way out of place with no where to run if they escaped. They also were not trading with other nations so they never learned foreign languages to be able to buy guns like the natives did. Our forefathers were some nasty people, and most of the reason they feared a strong Fed was because they wanted to do shady things. To think that the founders of America were some noble elite from Europe is stupid. The noble elites of Europe who got along within that legal system stayed there. We got criminals, poor, and cruel people looking to plunder the inhabited lands of America with their superior firepower. We also had religious cultists who were too wacky to get along with the European religions. American heritage is simply not that great. We were not the moral pious people we wish we were. Do you realize our heroic cowboys were cruel rapists and criminals who would sooner steal your hard earned money than work for it themselves? Our northeastern industrialists committed some rather horrible atrocities before labor laws stopped them. We stole and murdered to make this country strong off the back of the weak and enslaved. We are still doing it to each other so despite a few nice platitudes about diversity being nice we really are not sharing much that has not been pried from our hands by the courts.
That’s already a much more reasonable position than the Rep/Dem conventional wisdom — that diversity is our greatest strength.
There is some truth to the claims about double standards and that does feed the alt right. The proper way to respond to this is to eliminate the racist double standards so everyone is equal before the law and in the political process. I don't think the left is capable of doing that any more than the right is capable of giving up identity politics.
