This was a great article imo in that it reveals to just what extent Obama and his people miscalculated public opinion. During the campaign they acted like the mood of the campaign would last forever since Big Media acted as his very own PR team, and manipulated public opinion. But what they forgot is that real life is impacted by the actions of government. So far, government has done little but give us "words - just words". The family trying to keep food on the table can't eat those words.

But, as a friend of mine said, it looks like Obama may have to. lol.

    Pretty good article.

Though some here will discount it simply because it comes from Real Clear Politics...

    What is it?

Obama is a moron with absolutely no knowledge on how to properly run the country.

He got elected because he could give a good speech and because people were stupid enough to believe his pile of horsecrap.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

What the fuck do people think will happen with such a candidate?

^ A lot of us knew what would happen with such a candidate.

A lot of others wouldn't admit it, but are learning now...

No. All the Democrats need to give Obama exactly what he wants.

You sons of bitches put the bastard in office then you can watch him destroy your party in return. :bailey:

Yeah, this was probably the best article out of all the ones I read to. I do try and share only the best ones with WF.

It's ok, you're much more likable under this name than your Liet dual. :)

Is it possible for all of us to get together and file a class action lawsuit against Big Media for deliberately misleading the country? ;)

Can the democrats in the house have a vote of no confidence in Nancy Pelosi and remove her from the speakership?

I seem to recall a lot of Republicans and Independents also voting for him.

And as I have mentioned before, FOX News could have revealed who he was long before they actually got around to doing so.

They hedged their bets on Obama being easier to beat than Hillary in the GE, so while the PUMAs were out there fighting all on their own, the media, including FOX News sat on stories until they could reveal it to their benefit.

You can blame Dems all you want, but Republicans had a hand in getting Obama elected as well. Now, some did it as a bad joke/learning lesson for the country, but..... from the Republicans that voted for him, to the members in the media (including FOX) that protected him until it was too late, they all have a hand in this.

I read an article earlier today over at Politico about how Nancy Pelosi is losing her clout, and thus, her power in the House. It was called "Nancy Pelosi's grip on House slips."

Basically, she is being openly defied by some members of Congress.

I never thought I'd say this when I helped to get her elected (I lived in SF at the time)...but Nancy losing power in Congress? It couldn't have happened to a nicer person!

Those Republicans are the stupid ones. Every party has their stupid people. Shit if you've got Liet in your party why can't we have retards like Apostle in ours?

Also there is no such thing as a independent. Bunch of bullshit. They are all Democrats in hiding.

    :wtf:

You're one of the stupid ones if you think Fox was holding back.

Okay, serious question: Half the time, I'm told people oppose the health care bill because it's a massive, 1000 page bill, and no one knows exactly what's in it.

The other half of the time, I'm told people oppose the health care bill because they do people know exactly what's in it, and what's in it is objectionable.

    Which is it?

    It's both.

We don't know the majority of stuff that is in it and that's bad.

For the stuff we do know is in it we know that it's really bad.

Either way we know this bill is bad.

Oh I'm well aware that it wasn't just 'holding back' but also a calculated move by FOX News and Republicans. Help get Obama into office because he'd provide endless fodder for them to go after. So yeah, FOX News WAS holding back, and did so deliberately.

They only started going after him once Obama had the nomination wrapped up. It was all very cozy....because the Dem race wasn't in sync with FOX's ideological tilt, or even the majority of their viewers, and because they wanted Obama in office (easier to malign him than Hillary), they didn't care to reveal information in a timely manner. Why should they, it doesn't affect them, instead it only HELPs them. After all, look how quickly they've managed to turn public opinion against Obama, not that he hasn't helped with that either.

So yeah, I know how that all went down, I'm just pointing it out now because you said Dems are responsible for electing Obama to office. Dems certainly had a big hand in it, but they had help from the Republicans as well. At this point, they ALL need to eat crow.

I think it's actually closer to 2000 pages. I read/skimmed about the first 600 or so last year and then gave up. They do have searchable versions of it online, so that is a good way to look up specific information.

    Um.... no.

The Republicans wanted Hillary to win the nomination, because they already had eight years of dirt to throw at her.

Nah, that is a likely fiction that has been perpetuated ad nauseam, but the reality is, Operation Chaos was dreamed up by Rush much too late in the primaries to have had any real impact.

Republicans like to think they were able to pull some strings here, but notice, Rush jumped in with Operation Chaos after the string of game determinant 10 caucuses which happened in mid February. That is where Obama built up a margin (from the caucuses only) which would later be insurmountable. 10 caucuses in 10 different states, which btw, had about a total of only 100,000 participants, but awarded nearly 600 delegates. Even when Hillary won more votes in March, April, May, and June, in contests which had far, far more participants (about 30 million, compared to 100,000).....because the way the delegates were awarded disproportionately in the caucuses (the DNC has very elaborate, and easily manipulated rules for their caucuses), it didn't matter. For Republicans to think then they had more impact than they did, while a nice fantasy....the reality is, it's just not true.

Other Republicans have admitted this, that the details was in the timing, and thus by extension, Rush's "Operation Chaos" was started too late, and had little effect. I read it a while ago, will see if I can find a link.

Anyway, I used to monitor Republican blogs back then to see what they were saying about Hillary also, and more often than not, they were actually voting for Obama just to grind the knife in her back than they were following Rush and voting for Hillary as instructed.

Serves them right as far as I'm concerned....
