For example, is @TheLonelySquire so lonely because his horse won't love him in the same way @Faceman 's animation exemplifies?
Pretty sure Faceman is a liberal, or at least left of center. I also don't remember many liberals coordinating rep wars to run people off, and I say this as someone that was fine with the way rep was and skewed right of center at the time.
You what makes someone a pedophile? Kiddy diddling. You know what doesn't make someone a pedophile? TV. Also, everything else. These nuances will come to you once you get in the adult world.
Not anymore, although he prefers it over at TrekBBS and says he was glad for the ban because he needed the break from this place and the bashing he got here. He actually makes a few decent posts every so often and his spelling has improved considerably (though I think he was ban here was older than the smartphone technology, to be fair).
Maybe I'm mistaken and correct me if I am. Isn't @John a grown man who likes a show about ponies that was designed for 5 (or whatever age) year olds? If that's the case I find that pretty creepy. Don't you?
There are many here that I would estimate would defend pedophilia to the same extent that they defend homosexuals and transsexuals. They would explain it away as "it's their natural state to be attracted to children" or some other bizarre reasoning. No doubt about it.
You guys should probably inform yourselves before offering an opinion. My kids weren't big viewers of My Little Pony, but I saw enough of it to know that it's much like most other modern children's shows, which is to say that it is multi-layered with elements that can appeal to multiple age groups. Adults who watch it most likely enjoy the humor and message, just like adults who watch shows like Fineous and Ferb, Sponge Bob, or the Flintstones.
it's odd, but I find people searching the Internet to find graphic pony porn to troll here with even more creepy. Anything that exists organically is natural. Arsenic in apple seeds is natural. Rapist dolphins are natural. Volpone's craving for big, black dicks in all his orafices is natural. Even if I entertained the idea for a minute that your accusation had any truth, most pedos try a lot harder to blend in with society to keep from getting caught.
This. I've seen a few episodes while watching my niece and the writing is world apart from the 1980s version that was devoid of any real conflict, because girls were deemed incapable of handling the stories that boys of the same age group got from Transformers I feel sorry for our parents that had to sit through the things that were passed off as children's programming in the past, cuz we got some rank, brainless bullshit. I'm glad today's TV is far better for kids and adults both.
One group involves consenting adults who all they want is to live life in peace. The other involves a population that can't give consent. We've had legalized marriage for gays for over a year now and I'm still waiting on all the incestuous couples and animal fuckers to come out the woodwork like the conservative fundies said they would.
I'm sorry you've chosen to reject my attempts to understand you, John. I'll pray for you nonetheless.
He's not welcome here, TBBS or Heaven. And Lucifer was last seen headed for the gates of Hell with a stencil marked "No Volpones" and a big can of paint. Guess Facebook's all he'll have left.
I don't understand. My life is pretty close to awesome. It would be nice to have a wife and a kid or two, but I'm kind of set in my ways at this point and I'd have to make compromises if I got married at this point. But stop trying to derail this thread from trying to understand John and his mental problems.
Jeez, to get this level of hate and intolerance, you really need a bunch of liberals. Congratulations on fixing Wordforge, guys!
Wow, that was vintage Castle. "You're a hater coz you're intolerant of my intolerance!" So you're saying God is a liberal? No wonder you're so unhappy.
When I was a kid, my favorite TV cartoons were My Little Pony (I watched the original as a child), Shirt Tales (anyone remember Shirt Tales?), Snorks, Smurfs, Silverhawks, Thundercats, G.I. Joe, Gummi Bears, Tailspin, Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, and of course, Looney Tunes. These were bright, colorful, fun cartoons that usually had some kind of moral lesson in them somewhere. I also grew up in Disney's second renaissance with movies like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King. Rich, fully textured, gorgeous films that just made my little heart excited and happy. When I was a kid I didn't have a lot to be happy about, but these worlds let me pretend that for a while everything was okay. As an adult, I've become a hell of a cynic in some respects, because life loves to kick you to the ground, and then step on your neck. So I still look for bright, positive, intelligent, creative worlds. Most programming for adults has become black, red, orange, and blue color palettes with grim reminders that you suck, they suck, and life in general sucks. The hero doesn't exist as anything other than a gray area bully. The comedies that exist are often simply made, poorly realized, and even more poorly written, with gags telegraphed a mile away without any fun little surprising or clever moments. What's more frustrating is that much of the humor in modern comedies are directed at someone in particular, so that they become the objects of the protagonists ridicule, inviting us to laugh at the increasing cynicism that weaves itself into who we are, because we go out and emulate what we see. Remember when The Simpsons was edgy and fun? Now it's bland, rote storytelling is as predictable as they come. That happens after a quarter century of continuous writing. The characters went from a complex, nuanced nature to crass jokes that don't even try to make a cogent point (watch season 3 Homer and season 23 Homer). I love color. I like bright, boldly defined lines that I can use as a jump rope. I love creativity and optimism, and I love the idea that people can become close friends despite obvious differences. I enjoy clever writing that says hi to the kids and gives a sly wink to the adults. So it's no wonder the show appeals to me. That anyone attributes some kind of sinister underlying motive to that appeal is a fault of theirs, not mine. I harm no one, but there are people who see my very existence as harm, people who can't tolerate the genuine article. Yes, people like @Volpone and @TheLonelySquire, who love to hide behind a veneer of piety while freely bearing false witness and sowing seeds in order to create rifts between friends. They are the people Jesus warned you about.
There's actually a part of the fandom that likes darker concepts, because of course there is. So Bronies have already beaten you to it:
@John doesn't laugh at gay people with AIDS, like you do. John doesn't have a lengthy history of calling black people niggers or monkeys or a variety of other slurs, like you have. John didn't wish suffering on others, like you do. John doesn't force his wife to have sex with him like you admitted to doing back in tnz. John is actually intelligent whereas you are just a small time, limited mouth breather who struggles to grasp the simplest of concepts. John's a fuckin Saint compared to you bro.
