They’re saying his 4 daughters were with him, that’s just so sad

There's confusion on that because I've also seen that he's survived by his daughters.

The reports say Bryant was among 5 on board. If that's accurate, then unless he or one of his daughters was the pilot, all four daughters couldn't be among the dead.

I think someone somewhere has conflated 4 other victims with 4 daughters.

Four daughters doesn't add up, because presumably one of the five people killed was the pilot.

But it does seemed to be confirmed that one daughter was with him. :(

TMZ is now reporting that Bryant's daughter Gianna Maria was also on the flight.

Just heard this. I don’t follow basketball but you’d have to live underground not to have heard of Kobe. Terrible tragedy.

A news reporter happened to be in the area and heard the crash. He was tweeting about it before anyone knew who was onboard. He even shot video of the smoke rising from the site.

It was said that it was Kobe’s personal helicopter, so he might very well have been the pilot.

He owned a helicopter but apparently didn't pilot it.

Spurs and Raptors started their game just now by each team letting the 24-second shot clock run out on their first possessions to honor #24 of the Lakers. Spurs fans chanted his name. :(
