So my question to those in the know can I take the floating wood laminate and put it straight down on old rolled out laminate which is over old square glue down laminate tiles on top of floor boards?

    Thanks. :)

Yes, as long as the surfaces are flat and transitions are equal.

Roll out the underlayment and start slappin' it down.

There's the type that just interlocks and the glue type. I'm doing the floor here in the interlock version now.
I've used the glue together type as well, same general procedure but with glue.

Are you then going to put carpeting over it and then pour a concrete slab? Sheesh!
