That basically qualifies as long distance.

I used to live in Jax. Not sure where your job is, but San Jose on the east side of the Buckman Bridge was a pretty nice area. Westside is a bit choked up infrastructure-wise, and as always, the closer you run to the beaches, the more expensive it gets.

As for the school situation, I've been gone way too long for any of my info to be relevant. Clay County schools used to be better than Duval but I don't know if that's the case any more.

Two bits of good news for you:

1. Housing prices should be relaxed a bit, with the slump. Don't know if you're buying or not, but if you are, there it is.

2. No state income tax in Florida. Don't know if you considered that or not, but even if you are making the same amount you were in Ga., your disposable income just went up a good bit.

Oh, and Go Jaguars!!

Seriously, we liked Jax enough to consider moving back. The Pacific NW and family won out, however.
