This is one funny movie, chock full of pop culture references.

Imagine a film with cameos from the Eye of Sauron, Voldemort, the Wicked Witch of the West, Gremlins, the Daleks, General Zod and.... Jerry Maguire.

It starts off really strong, lags a bit in the middle, and then finishes strong again. A lot of really good laughs. I'll have to watch it again to catch all the references.

Definitely worth a look and one of the better Batman movies (in fact, they even poke fun several times at how many different incarnations of Batman have appeared on screen.)

I didn't see it in 3D (was on a date, but with her two kids, no thanks), but I honestly haven't seen a 3D movie since the first Captain America movie that was worth it.Every time I get 3D I regret it.It's just not worth it anymore. I got that D-Box thing (it moves around and stuff like that) for Star Trek: Beyond and it wasn't worth it either.

Saw it in 3D. It was okay. Nothing bad to say about it in 3D.

Guardians of the galaxy had some really great 3d artwork that fit with the action. I was not actually expecting it to be that good. I got dragged into the 3d show because we went to see it in one of those theaters where they have waiters and serve food. I have not seen 3d art like that since. I was disappointed in rogue 1 because Disney should have produced something on that scale.

Bat man is such a dead horse. I wish they would take a decade break from him.

The origin story is a dead horse, Batman, not so much.

I'd go so far as to say this is up there with "Airplane", and "Spaceballs".
Yes, this is the "Spaceballs", of Batman.
    It's Batballs.

Far better than Ghostbusters 2016.

Perhaps they should do Lego Ghostbusters to redeem things.

So far the LEGO guys are two for two (the original film and Batman). The Ninjago movie looks pretty funny as well. We'll see.

What Tom King is doing in the comics right now is amazing. Completely fresh. Ground-breaking.

Trouble is every director has to "deconstruct" Batman these days. You can get really good stories out of the Bat just having him do his thing, without existentially challenging him every damn movie. The comics have been doing that for years, though granted they break out the "is he just as insane as his enemies?" schtick a lot too.

The Long Halloween is a perfect example. Just a mystery to solve, no fundamental challenges to the Bat's self-image. Granted, no earth-shattering villain plan though, just a serial killer - but that's still good enough for other movies.

Just found out they were THIS close to making a live-action Batman Beyond movie, which could have been awesome - one thing we don't really see Bats doing in movies is a shitload of acrobatics, because the directors want everything gritty and realistic. But with the Beyond suit's tech, you could justify a buncha Spider-Man level stuff and CGI is up to it these days.

Yep, after Batman 5 fell apart after "Batman & Robin", flopped, they simultaneously developed Year One, Batman vs Superman, Justice League, and Batman Beyond.
They all fell apart but Year One which morphed into "Batman Begins".

My ultimate Batman movie wish would be Batman Beyond with Christian Bale and JGL, directed by Nolan as the fourth entry in the Nolanverse, but I'd also like to see Henry Cavil as Superman. Or Clint Eastwood as Bruce, I know neither would happen though.
