How old? Pac-Man was awesome (not so much the 2600 version). So was Centipede, Tron, Q*Bert, Missile Command. NES games? Uh, Super Mario Brothers (all of them!), I had TopGun, don't know if it was a favorite, uh... there was this one with a knight and jewels, Zelda, there were so many... Genesis? Sonic, Streets of Fury, Blades of Steele, that's all I remember right now PS2? Ratchet/Clank (all), Sly Cooper(all), Kingdom Hearts2 (I don't care what anyone says), I still liked X-Men Legends. Most overrated ps2 game? Jax and Dexter series! I had Jax 2 and I hated it! hated it!

My first console was a Sega Genesis. Sonic the Hedgehog and Heavy Nova were freakin' awesome. Also loved Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
oh... no. really? Isn't that game almost universally panned. I remember X-Play roasted it. I mean ROASTED it. Oh Chaos, how can I not question your tech knowledge when you say crazy things like this ?

Oh, yeah. Scramble - arcade style, also. Watch your fuel, drop bombs. shoot your gun, navigate. Had to get the pattern perfect or one of the variables would bite you in the butt. Dropped a lot of quarters getting this one right, too. good times, good times.

I finally installed DOSBox on an XP laptop the other day and tried running Magic Carpet. It works, but the rate tends to be jarringly uneven even with a few settings tweaked. Just emphasizes how inexcusable dumping MS-DOS is . Still, it's a relief to have some other means of playing the best game ever, just in case the old machine ever bites the dust.
Master of orion 2 bitches forgot about that game. Bock you never played Fallout? ALphaman recomends fallout 3 for you.
Go ahead - call me an old fuddy-duddy. No. Haven't played either one of the fallouts. Tried Moo2, didn't like the interface.
Man, some of you guys are older than dirt... I started with my gamer career with Star Control. Was my first game, and I adored it. Star Control II was also superb, but really difficult due to the time limit. I still own the music! SC III was utter crap. Than came Lands of Lore I, German RPGs following the "Dark Eye" system, then I got into D&D with "The Eye of the Beholder", etc. I loved "X-Wing", because it was so damned hard to win! At least compared to the Wing Commander Series. Some other favorites: MOO 1 and 2 (3 was crap again), Civilisation 1, Master of Magic. Then came Baldurs Gate, and I was in heaven. BG II is still the best came ever! Haven't played Dragon Age: Origins yet, though.
Wing Commander is the closest thing to bsg we will have in a game in terms of plot and characters though Jan Jansan.
Skin's favorite old game is F15 Strike Eagle III from Microprose. Tie Fighter was another good one, and Skin is very surprised Duke Nukem 3D hasn't yet been mentioned.
Master of Magic Master of Orion 2 Star Control 2 Avalon Hill's Advanced Civilization Morrowind Civilization (take your pick) Baldar's Gate Series
