Actually, no, that was all UA. Turkey and I discussed it as a reference to his sad and angry taunt already made.

yet I'm pretty sure the topic was sex offender registries, not rapist registries as you've tried to paint me as being an apologist for.
As a matter of fact, my initial question was to clarify if this had been a pair of kids with only a few years between them at the time...

Don't let that stop you from false premises though.

The topic was a paroled offender who was convicted of child rape, as I have consistently referenced it since.

was the original conviction topic. It carried the qualification that the offender was a minor and that there was a specific age range. The nature/degree of the molestation wasn't ever made clearer than that.

The topic then became about the validity and effectiveness of registries.

At which point you specified child rape all on your own and decided I was an apologist for that.

Reread the thread, I'm not making links to the first two pages of it for you.

He does, until he starts whining about it. Then he goes back to not minding it so much. Then back to whining.

Didn't we have a derailed smilie at one point? wow!!

A quick search shows that I have 6 RSO's within my zip code... The closest being 2 miles away. I feel OK, but having a first degree offender on the same block might cause me to feel differently because I do have small children. If I really wanted the property, the RSO might end up having an unfortunate accident at some point... :?: :soholy:

Controversial topic, a variety of opinions not split down partisan lines, a hearty dose of on-topic bickering … that's about all you need.

Maybe Clyde can start a separate " :lookatme: I've been [-]neg[/-] neutral-repped! :lookatme: " thread and update it as needed.

edit: and to hell with rules or not stepping on the toes of another mod, if I wasn't posting from phone right now I'd split these Clyde posts off myself. Get some dignity man.

Not sure, there were 10 in my zip code, total popjlation is 35,000. It's a densely populated area, so technically all 10 are walking distance, but all but the two are a bit beyond what somebody might typically walk.

I live in a densely populated but poor neighborhood (although areas are improving, such as where I am). There are 11 within a 1/2 mile radius.

Within a 5 mile radius of my house:

    22 Predators

    and

    209 Offenders

Looking at most of their charges though I'm not seeing a difference between Predator and Offender.

HA! They do love their structure and rules. Even civil disturbances have categories: Bandwagon jumpers, merely disgruntled, mildly agitated, justifiably angry and batshit crazy. You can belong to up to two categories per riot, but only if they are adjacent categories. You must carry the training certificate (stamped by the regional Riot Meister) if you intend on employing Molotov cocktails, and are limited to .75 liters of gas per bottle with a wick no less than 20 centimeters long.
