    Bride Of Frankenstein is a character at all because of the Universal movie. :yes:
    The Bride is in the novel, but Dr. Frankenstein rips her apart before he even finishes her.
    Even Kenneth Branagh's Frankenstein, which touts being more novel accurate can't resist having her.

    Everyone forgets "The Bride" with Jennifer Beals, and Sting as the doctor.
    That one plays the angle of the doc wanting to have her for himself, and her and the monster being telepathically bonded.
    It got trashed at the time, but I liked it.
