They're kids. When you're 20 and those around you all think pretty much the same you're bound to think your cause wholly righteous and assume all right minded people must agree with you. I was in Montreal in late March (weather felt like May) in an office building across the street from McGill University (across Sherbrook) and enjoyed the spectacle of ridiculousness of an all-day parade of "protestors" - basically just like a Thanksgiving day parade without the floats or bands (but they had a few drummers mainly) and with all the marchers being kids in college. No surprise that all the spectators I talked to had ridicule for the idea that paying a little more for college was worthy of outrage, let alone a parade. Its a fuckin joke when a good chunk of those educated on Canada's dime take the free education, extend their erect middle finger to Ottawa and then cross border and sell-out for higher paying jobs in the US, with impunity.
