Obama went through a whole series of debates when he was running for the nomination in '08 as well. That's how it always works, it's stupid to start whining about it now.

You think the president is out there explaining his current policies enough? Or is his 2008 electoral campaigning enough?

He can explain all he wants. You'll still belittle, dismiss and sneer at anything he says or does.

If you call questioning everything he says or does "belittling, dismissing, and sneering" then yes. Yes, I will.

I was about to say it pays to be skeptical of politicians but it doesn't, really. Instead, I'll say I can't help but be skeptical of them.

    Can't please some people...

Not me. I'd rather have more information from my politicians than less.

But, hey, whatever floats your boats.

Here's the deal. If you want to know Obama's policy on X, you don't have to ask him what his policy on X would be. YOU JUST LOOK AT HIS POLICY ON X!

    Try this: www.whitehouse.gov

Or one of the several thousand news sources available online (except, of course, in your world, they're all lying to you).

Or you can sign up here and get daily emails. You don't even have to sell your soul or anything.

    Sheesh.

When the man talks, you decide he's lying. When he doesn't, you whine about something else.

    You really need a hobby.

Hmmm. So now you've recruited me to be a member of the press corps? Thanks. Someone needs to report on Obama's failed policies because the current mainstream media's falling down on their job in this regard.

No way. That really would be a full-time job. To see some people's reactions, though, you'd think I was really spamming up the place with examples of Obama's failures. I haven't started that many political threads today.

Yeah that's right. Deafening silence when it comes to Obama's policies.

I mean, what's his stance on Healthcare? Sure wish the Media would inform me on that. Or what about Afghanistan, what plan does he have for Afghanistan? Or what about jobs? Wish they would report on what kind of Jobs Bill he would propose if he were President.

Oh, here I thought you were interested in verifiable benchmarks.

I should have remembered you're the guy who dismisses established news sources and embraces blogs.

Seriously, maybe Forbin can get you into model building or something before you become completely unglued.

Or you could just belittle, dismiss and sneer pre-emptively.

But to answer your question, how about increased security at the Mexican border?

Nice debate tactic but it still doesn't address the point that's being made in the post. Namely that Obama's avoiding serious interaction with the media while the Republicans are eating each other alive in the debates.

And, no, this isn't an ODS issue anymore than it was a BDS issue when Lew Rockwell raised it nearly 10 years ago, despite attempts to spin it into a counter attack.

Or, given the slant, maybe that was an obvious example of BDS.

Was it ODS when CBS news raised the subject last year? Hardly.

And it certainly didn't take Obama long to set a new record for avoiding the press

So, now I'm being compared to CBS news reporters keeping track of this same statistic? Wow. CBS and me in the same breath. Whodathunkit?
