I would really hold off until the 65nm are released. It'll run so much cooler than the current revision.
Seen that they are working on an slight update for new revision called project falcon Heres a link too http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2007/07/microsofts_next_move_code-name_falcon.html
Did you guys hear about that Grey Xbox rumor coming out of E3? During the pre-conference, they had 3 of them lined up, the white one, the black one, and an unknown grey one. When the press conference started, the grey one was nowhere to be found. They later introduced a beige-green one, which was the Halo-themed Xbox. But it definitly was not the same one as what some people saw before.
No, there was a grey one, I think it's going to be the new 'core' system or something. Not sure, or it might have just been a tech machine.
I never saw it that way, it just made sense to me that if the Halo themed 360 was meant to be a surprise, then they obviously wouldn't have been showing it beforehand. Hence a grey dummy machine.
The decision to make a Halo-themed XBox was probably a last-minute, "But wait, there's more" sorta thing. What I'd guess is that they fabricated the grey XBox and took that with them, set it somewhere, then ran out, had the skin-of-your-teeth late art assets printed off locally, then slapped those onto the grey unit.
