Sometimes when I think of a poster I haven’t seen in a while I’ll send them a PM just checking in saying they are missed. They might have it connected to their email and respond and even come check back in here. Happened a couple times.
This may be hard for you to believe, but sometimes people just move on. evenflow, for one, is mainly on Twitter now, and occasionally posts on Instagram. I still belong to an industry-related message board that used to have huge traffic and far more members than this place had at its height. I logged in the other day and there'd been exactly one post in the last six months. I don't know why the guy who owns the board doesn't just shut it down.
I know that at least a handful of them left because of politics. I know where @Dinner and @Volpone are.
yet none of them were banned, a couple of them definitely weren't run off for being righties (EVERYONE loved Chuck), a few have posted in the last week or so... Captain X probably got that pipeline through his living room that he wanted so badly... not sure if the recent MIAs count yet either. I've taken a few years off here and there as have plenty of others.
Was that the board that started off as fuckedtv? I ithink it was banned by management at every tv newsroom in the country. That guy was seriously wired in to the industry! I wonder if he cashed in his chips and left the board on autopilot
No, it was a photography-related board. I never visited fuckedtv. I did go to NewsBlues back in the day and it was banned by a lot of news directors. Much of the juicy stuff eventually went behind a pay wall and checking it just now, it seems to be really toned-down and tame these days. Is fuckedtv the same as FTVLive? That guy is wellll-connected and I've heard that some stations have tried to block the site.
Volpy still pops up to try and troll every couple weeks. And one of his threads is among the longest running in WF history!
From what I can tell Spectrum 13 sounds like a cable system news outlet. Those type of places seem to go for somewhat younger talent than network affiliates in markets that size. It's probably not someone I would have any connection with. It's still a shame and absolutely senseless. It's a good (if terrible) reminder to every journo out there not to let adrenaline override common sense when covering those kinds of stories.
@Captain X died in an auto-erotic asphyxiation incident. @Dinner was killed while attending an anti-Iranian regime demonstration, erroneously thinking it was an anti-Islam protest. @Man Afraid of his Shoes accidentally put some gunpowder in his cookie batter and blew his house up. @Zombie died of AIDS resulting from complications brought on by a COVID-19 infection. @Paladin accidentally discharged a round into his temple from an AR-15 that he was jerking off with. @oldfella1962 was arrested and convicted of having over 500TB of child porn on his computer, and was later shivved in a prison. RIP, Wordforge posters. Gone but not forgotten.
@ACrackCommandoUnit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These posters promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
