Here. I voted for him for Lieutenant Governor and the first time he ran after Bush was elected President. This isn't my only complaint about the man, but it's a pretty significant one.
Actually you dumb mother fucker I have voted for Rick Perry before, not in the last election because I voted for someone else. I do vote and you can complain about the guy elected in your state regardless of whether or not you voted or vote for that person. That's how the system we live in works, people run, get elected by the majority (theoretically), and are therefore are representatives of the area in which those voters reside, regardless of whom they voted for. Legally he is my state's Governor, elected to represent everyone within Texas, not just those who voted for him. I'm not going to explain math to you, you're too Goddamn stupid to understand it anyway. I'm just happy to know that under no circumstances will you ever be in a position to teach my kids. Governor is a 24/7 job, if he leaves his post that doesn't dismiss him from his duties. If he has to stay up working long hours, that's the fucking job, it's not a 8:30-3:30 with summers off like you teachers. His job is actually important. Enjoy living on that 37,500 per year that we saw posted on here a few years ago, I'm not so sure you even deserve to make that much. How much do they pay retards to make seat belts? Seems like that might be more fitting for a man of your intellectual prowess.
Seems Texas is more enamored of the first RP than the second one: http://www.thestatecolumn.com/articles/ron-paul-clobbers-rick-perry-in-latest-poll/
the what now? The population surges why? Because there are available jobs? Do you see the population of Michigan (heel even California or NY) surging? Nope. no jobs. In fact, if you want to put that spin on it...people are leaving NY...people are coming to Texas...and unemployment rates are similar - one wonders how wildly different the unemployment rates would be if the population was mostly static.I'm sure some math whize could adjust for the population shift and figure it out. In any case if you have WAY more people and those people have jobs, that's not a good thing how?
It wouldn't have been anything to do with hating Bush. This was in 1988, when Gore was running unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination against Mike Dukakis and several others, not during the 2000 campaign.
I do, though mine's a Tacoma. Toyota builds Tacomas and Tundras on the south side of my town. When Toyota was considering Texas as a location for a new Tundra plant ten(?) years ago, the president of the company was taken to a Cowboys game. He said in an interview that when he saw how many pickups were parked outside Texas Stadium, he knew that this was the right state to build his plant.
The wikipedia entry on the case and the conduct of the child murderer to me still indicates that he was guilty. Including but not liimited to 1) He admitted the day after the fire to an investigator that he had poured a flammable liquid on the floor of the house before the fire (cologne). 2) The man was so panicked by the fire that He was unable to save any of his three daughters. But did have the presence of mind to save his car. 3) It was established that he did beat his wife. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameron_Todd_Willingham
So did you. You, Dayton Kitchens, beat your wife. Dayton Kitchens, wife beater. Can we kill you as well?
If my daughter and/or wife show up dead in a suspicious fire where I work on pushing my car away from the burning house and show no interest in rescuing them, then perhaps you should.
Being a complete douche wife beating asshole isn't punishable by death. No one is calling him an angel but the arson experts say the fire wasn't arson.
You know the point of whether of not a "innocent" person got put to death isn't really relevant. What is, is the fact that he didn't even give it any consideration given the new evidence and he squashed an investigation over the execution.
That, to me, would fit the definition of reasonable doubt. Don't get me wrong. I'm not faulting the jury for their verdict. The arson expert didn't get involved until after the conviction. They had to rely on the testimony of their small-town fire guys. I am faulting Perry for not staying the execution (even temporarily) while that expert's investigation was considered. The fact that the governor shut down the review on the case is just more stink on the shit.
And isn't that another way of saying that there is no real proof that he was guilty? There seems to be plenty of proof that he was world-class scum. But that is not punishable by death. Otherwise, there would be a lot less of a population problem...
It boggles my mind that you are allowed anywhere near immature minds in need of education, never mind getting paid to be there. Actually IIRC, that's basically correct. As I remember it, Dayton stated that when he worked out the costs, any major medical expense would bankrupt him with or without insurance, so that being the case he may as well not bother buying it. Meaning Dayton is in full support of the government and/or hospitals providing free healthcare to him and his.
