Maybe people are doing these things so they can be subjects of red room threads.

Chad thinks he's going to aggravate people into thinking guns are bad by spamming gun crimes.

    It's not "lazy," it's Wordforge.

Paid any attention to the rules lately? Chad is allowed to be an annoying idiot. He's not going to convince anyone of anything, except that it is not worth paying attention to him, but he is hardly the first one to take that route.

If you don't like the Wordforge way, TBBS is doing just fine!

Yeah, the only thing I find aggravating is the deluge of gun threads on the front page of the Red Room. As far as I'm concerned, he can keep posting them, but he's wasting his time. Most WFers here are aware that gun accidents do happen, and that it won't change most opinions, or even one opinion in favor of what he's posting, because bashing people over the head with that message serves no reasonable purpose except to annoy those being bashed. That said, it's his time to waste.

To me the interesting bit is comparing the box-set requests to the animosity over merging threads.

As yet Chad's threads don't warrant a box-set. One can attribute that to admin laziness if they'd like but that's simply not the case. It's merely a feeble reply to disagreement, to not getting one's way. "If you weren't so lazy you'd do things my way!"

It's been clear from day one that everyone is free to be a fucko in the Red Room. It's one of WF's draws. And Chad is far from pushing the envelope.

Let's say he is far from pushing the envelope on what is allowed. He has long since gone completely outside the envelope on what is credible, or a way to make oneself popular, or any hope of convincing anyone at all...
