MTG Shows Stolen Nude Photos of Hunter Biden to Congress, Federal Farmer creams his jorts/janties

On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee convened a hearing on alleged meddling by the Department of Justice in its investigation of Hunter Biden, who pleaded guilty in June to two federal misdemeanor charges related to failing to pay his taxes. The hearing seemed to stem from Republicans’ ongoing obsession with the president’s son, even as he’s stayed far away from politics—and things took a deeply disturbing turn when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) held up nude photos of Hunter before the entire committee.

“Before we begin, I would like to let the committee and everyone watching at home know that parental discretion is advised,” Greene says before questioning an IRS whistleblower—without any evidence—about whether Hunter perpetrated sex trafficking crimes and whether the president’s son improperly used his company to write off payments to sex workers.

When Green held up the photos—which were likely pulled from the content that was leaked from Hunter’s laptop—Fox News and other platforms streaming the hearing had to rush to blur them out.

“This is evidence of Hunter Biden making sex tapes—excuse me, this is my time—making pornography,” Greene said, as someone off-camera insists her time is up. Another person off-camera identified as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) asks, “Should we be displaying this?” It’s unclear what, exactly, Greene was trying to argue in displaying the highly graphic photos. It’s also a move that very much seems to break Washington, D.C.’s revenge porn laws.


Amid the chaos, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, appeared to hold back laughter. After Greene’s time was up, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) used some of her time to point out the hypocrisy of Greene’s deranged conspiracy theories about Hunter while ignoring the human trafficking investigation into Greene’s Republican colleague, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.): “If the gentlelady from Georgia wanted to follow evidence, we should also take a look at, hypothetically... sex trafficking charges against a 17-year-old girl,” she said.

Greene has since reposted the video of her presenting the photos and pushing her entirely unfounded conspiracy theory on her Congressional Twitter account.

And now, Greene may have emailed the nudes to minors. The Georgia representative emailed her constituents Wednesday evening claiming she had confirmed Biden was guilty of sex trafficking and tax fraud (she had not). The email included a video that showed his nudes.

There is no screening for age when signing up for Greene’s email newsletter, so any minors who subscribe—such as for a social studies project or simply to stay up to date—have now received nudes from their congresswoman. If that is the case, then Greene would not only have violated her state’s revenge porn law, but she could also have broken federal lawsbanning the distribution of obscene material to minors.

Let's assume for argument's sake that some people would react differently to a politician posting a copy of Donald Trump being pissed on by Russian agents at a drug-fueled tryst in the Congressional record than they are to MTG posting Hunter Biden doing naked selfies.

I want to point out some fundamental differences besides the political parties involved that would justify that different reaction:

Hunter Biden is not and has never been a candidate for higher office. Trump was president and wants to be (and might just be) president again.

The picture of Hunter Biden in question is from anything we know/suspect not illegal, unethical or inherently problematic. It proves nothing beyond Hunter Biden posed naked at least once. Donald Trump is a married man who probably shouldn't be cheating on his wife (although that ship has sailed, many many times) and more to the point, the piss tape was supposed evidence that Trump was in thrall to the Russians. If there were an actual piss tape, it would lend credence to the theory that Trump wanted to keep it secret and might have been compromised.

If there were rumors of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris or fill-in-the-blank Democrat being compromised by the Russians because of sexual blackmail and there was credible evidence that gave heft to those rumors, you bet I would want to have that out in the public domain so that people could evaluate it and make decisions as to whether it should affect their votes and how.

What about being compromised by Ukraine?

There's no connection alleged between the nude pictures of Hunter Biden and any alleged blackmail by Ukraine. Not even batshit MTG is trying to make that connection.

The worst (as I understand it) that has been alleged is that a Ukrainian company paid Hunter a shit-ton of money that he didn't deserve because he was Joe Biden's kid, and that Joe Biden called for a former prosecutor of corruption in Ukraine to be ousted.

My reactions to this: a) yes, it sucks that Hunter got richer than you or I will ever be because of those sweet nepo-dollars, but there's nothing inherently illegal/unethical about that, so I don't see why it matters b) until or unless there is evidence that Joe Biden did something for/against Ukraine because of Hunter's sweetheart deals, I don't really care c) the reason Joe Biden was looking to oust that former prosecutor was not to protect the allegedly corrupt company but because the former prosecutor was doing nothing against the corrupt company/corruption in general and d) basically the rest of the Western World was also advocating getting rid of that guy too, which strongly suggests that Joe Biden's actions in this regard were not motivated by Hunter.

The point being it is something voters deserve the chance to take into account. Nobody is waiting on a conviction to issue their own verdict on Trump.

Why do voters need to take it into account?

If you're talking about the possibility of Hunter being corrupt or Joe Biden doing corrupt things on behalf of Hunter, what does showing a picture of naked Hunter have anything to do with either Hunter being corrupt or Joe Biden doing corrupt things?

This is again why your whataboutism fails. A video of Trump being pissed on by Russian prostitutes is relevant to the theory that he was so ashamed of being caught on tape that he would screw the U.S. over by being Putin's bitch boy.

In such a case, there's a direct connection between the evidence and a serious charge of something that affects the public welfare.

In the case of Hunter's dick pic, not so much.

As much as some of us hate Trump, I dare wager that if AOC (or whoever) was flashing naked pictures of Melania or any of the Trump kids while making a point about how it showed that person and Trump were corrupt, those of us on the Left would point out that was a mean-spirited non-sequitur as to Trump's actual misconduct.

Sure this real thing happened but we dare not criticise it because I also imagined a thing so both sides.

A years-long fixation reached its predictable apotheosis on Wednesday when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) used her allotted time during a hearing of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee to publicly display some hardcore nudes of Hunter Biden.

“Before we begin, I would like to let the committee and everyone watching at home know that parental discretion is advised,” Greene said. She then proceeded to whip out a series of X-rated posters.

I would like to describe the content of these photos but I would also like to not be fired, so I’ll refer you to the New York Post’s retelling. The images included “a (mercifully) censored picture of a woman caressing the first son’s, well, first son.” Hats off, guys, truly.

What was the point of these photos? According to Greene, they were necessary supporting evidence in an alleged tax fraud coverup. (Last month Biden reached a tentative agreement with federal prosecutors to plead guilty to two minor tax crimes.) But people who are allegedly guilty of tax fraud can be just as guilty when they are wearing pants. Did the American public really need to see this?

Ever since 2019, when a computer repair guy in Delaware came into possession of a busted laptop allegedly belonging to the president’s son — a busted laptop containing a lot of naked selfies and homemade porn — the answer to that question in conservative circles had become a resounding yes. Show the citizenry the phallus of a middle-aged attorney-slash-cocaine addict, preferably from many angles! Leave no butt cheek behind!

“This is actually the evidence that I believe the American people deserve to see,” Greene explained to a Newsmax host the evening after her stunt.

Tucker Carlson mined similar territory on his prime time show in 2021, showing viewers what appeared to be an image of Hunter Biden being straddled by two women (“There is a dog there with him, as well,” Carlson’s guest remarked, in case casual viewers had missed the white poodle minding its own business in the corner of the frame).

Sean Hannity had gone there, too: “Hunter Biden’s latest video: Nude water slide riding,” he tweeted last fall. The video link wasn’t working when I clicked on it earlier this week, but I found a number of still images online that fit the description. I fail to see their political relevance, though they make a compelling case for why one should always wear clothes when skidding down any kind of slide.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee earlier this year held a hearing investigating why Twitter had muffled New York Post reporting on the laptop, and whether the site had allowed the Biden campaign to inappropriately censor content Twitter related to the president’s son. A Twitter employee repeatedly explained that the content was not removed because Twitter was in cahoots with the Bidens, the content was removed because it was a bunch of naked pictures of Hunter Biden, posted without his consent, which violated Twitters terms of service.

What’s going on here? The most serious accusations against Hunter Biden revolve around the idea that he used his positions with foreign companies to sell access to his politician father (no evidence has yet been produced that the elder Biden was influenced by his son’s role with these companies). What does Hunter’s hunter have to do with the integrity of his father’s administration?

The goal appears to be shaming him in general and, by extension, the entire Biden family.

There is, after all, something oddly clarifying about a picture of a 50-ish man strolling around in unflattering lighting wearing sunglasses, a hot pink scarf, a jock strap and nothing else. Images like this present, in a single frame, a compelling narrative of debauchery and dirt. A narrative that no amount of depositions, leaked emails or lengthy confessional memoirs could begin to approach. Naked Hunter Biden is a joke, a degenerate, a walking embodiment of squick. He is lecherous and louche, sloppy and sleazy. God, Hunter, put on some shorts.

But there’s also this.

In the course of reporting this column I came upon a website — linked to by a Fox News article — that purports to be a photo dump of nearly every picture salvaged from Hunter Biden’s laptop. Almost 10,000 images in total, presented as endless pages of clickable thumbnails.

There are a lot of naked pictures. There are a lot of pictures that make Hunter Biden look exactly as high, inebriated, irresponsible and all around disastrous as he has described himself to be for a period of time in the late 2010s.

But there are also pictures of his kids’ sporting events. Birthday parties. Family trips to the beach. Assuming these photos are all real, there are excruciating pictures of Hunter’s brother, Beau, in his hospital bed, timestamped just weeks before he died in 2015. By all accounts, the death unraveled the family. It brought Hunter to his lowest places of lonely motels and decaying teeth, to benders where he has said he’d go days subsisting on nothing but crack and vodka.

These images tell a different kind of story. One in which the degenerate man keeps trying to claw his way out of the hell he’s made for himself, one in which he keeps being sucked back in. He’s a proud dad, he’s a struggling son, he’s a wasted addict. In many selfies he is fully clothed when he stares down the camera, the expression on his face belonging to a man who appears haunted and emptied by what he has become.

These were the ones that felt like the biggest intrusion of privacy. These weren’t the types of Hunter Biden images that end up on a poster board in Marjorie Taylor Greene’s congressional clown show. But in those images, he has never looked more naked.
