OK, so I watched Man of the Year, starring Robin Williams, this weekend. I thought it was a fun, and funny, movie. Williams is Williams, as always. Some very funny lines and some biting political commentary that makes some good points. It's not the greatest Robin Williams film ever, but it's a good one. There are a few holes in the plot and it drags a bit in places. Laura Linney's character trying to pass herself off as an FBI agent was just dumb and senseless. As I said, it's not a great movie, but worth a rental and viewing. I'd give it 3 stars out of 5.
This movie does do one thing... It makes you wish that one of the good comadieans would make a serious run. I'd love to see someone really do to a debate what they did in this movie.
