So I was flicking through the music channels last night... Got to The Music Factory, was delighted to find Dennis Leary's 'I'm an asshole' just starting. Except they bleeped out every mention of the word 'asshole'. Err... word to the wise, people, if you find the word 'asshole' offensive, you might not want to play a video called 'I'm an asshole'. For fuck's sake, just don't play anything you need to censor, 'k?
There was an R. Kelly song with a chick dancing in the ocean, showing her tits. During daytime they'd show a censored clip. That pissed me off.
Was it censored or did she wear a top?!? I've seen some other rap-videos where after something like 10PM they show toples or even nude chicks but during the day they show a version where they wear bikinis or other skimpy outfits in those same scenes...
That's what I liked about Germany. They show videos as they were made, uncensored. Of course, having Afroman sing about "not eating pussy because he got high and forgot" while your young kids watch is a little unsettling, but it hasn't warped their brains yet.
kerrang radio made me laugh the other week, they edited out 'fucking' from blue octobers 'hate me' but left in the 'fuck' from pearl jams 'jeremy'
I believe it. Freak On A Leash by Korn made it a long time before someone realized they were saying "fuck" in the chorus and edited it out (and Pearl Jam lyrics are far more incomprehensible).
