To be honest, didn't know where else to post this, so here goes.

These are the tools of my artistic trade:

The only problem is, I've been without an amp for my Electric for about 6months... but my new Marshall AVT50X Amplifier should be delivered tomorrow according to Fedex's tracking system.

For reference, I'm far from what most people would consider "good" at guitar, but when I get the new amp, I'm going to start recording some stuff just to see how I sound (help me critique myself basically) and probably some Acoustic stuff as well while I'm at it. I can upload them and link 'em here if anyone is interested. I play mostly Rock/Metal (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Clapton, Iced Earth, 3Doors Down, etc..) So, if anyone is interested to see how an amateur, self-taught guitarist sounds, then here's your chance!

I'm planning on keeping this one updated with new stuff pretty consistently as I'm constantly learning new songs/improving old ones.

You can hook it up to your computer. If you want to play with distortion or effects, it's good to practice it on your system. It helps minimize dirty playing.

I'm actually painting over my drumset. Will post links to humongous pictures with them in it. Right now, I dont have cymbals sadly, but I dont play drums much. A Bassers life is the life for me!

Pics of the new Amp, and some of me "jamming" sometime after Monday. Going to Chicago with the family til then. Hopefully I'll have some recorded clips within the next week or so on here.

But... Oh my freakin' God... this Marshall Tube Amp = It sounds... so... damned... good! Now, I have to buy a new guitar... Probably going with a Marshall Les Paul Studio edition... Well, as long as I can find one I like under $2500.

That's about it til now, look forward to new pics on Monday - Tuesday!

Oh hell yes. I'm a bit of an audiophile to be honest. So, if I have to do a bit of extra work to get the sound I want... it's a small price to pay. My music doesn't sound the best, but it sure as hell isn't my equipment's fault. Upkeep isn't all that terrible on it, stays pretty much dust-free and clean, so that eliminates alot of the time spent.

But I mean the style in general, you want a Hollow Body Acoustic/Electric right? If it's the same thing you want, I'll give my friend Clay a call tomorrow and ask him for some ideas, he's been playing Bass for about 6 years now.

I bought my Amp/Capo/Tuner/Stands and a bunch of random stuff from Musiciansfriend and they've been pretty awesome to me. Don't really have a preference or anything. I usually just drive up to Lousiville and buy all my stuff from a shop up there (Friend's uncle owns it.)
