If you are looking for a really decent game making company ninja kiwi rocks. Their games are not hard to learn and span many different types. They pay attention to their titles and continue to update older ones while the new ones come out. They are still adding content for btd5, btd4, and monkey city while they have released a new version with a decent content change that is similar to the previous versions, but different enough to make it a great new title.

These titles are not the only ones they have. They just keep pumping out the titles. They also have a good balance for people to play without in game purchases. Some games become so difficult you need to, but the guys over at ninja kiwi make it so you can use talent to get through and it is not so hard you have to purchase. The titles are kid friendly. Some tower defense games involve death and blood, but the blooms tower defense line is just a nice balloon popping tower defense game.

If you are looking for some good fun games you can put hours into their games are great and they are always pumping out new content so you always have something new to do.

I have to say the new additions to btd6 are really are worth it. I thought 5 was going to be hard to really advance but they eliminated some towers, and brought in New ones which are more enhancement towers. They altered some of the mechanics so bloonjitsu with a freeze tower and a village with MIB IS NOT AN unstoppable force.

I like the medal system and how they gave you new challenges on each difficulty level with the groupings of certain towers. They made snipers and boats much more valuable. They added non banana farm income that is worth getting. They got rid of the stupid mortar tower and the way overpowered engineer. Putting a third development track and only allowing two while doing a nice job of splitting powers has added a whole new dynamic to play. The new armored blimps really mess with priority too. You can get tied up on splitting an armored blimp while the regulars are just slipping by.

They need to develop heroes and the new energy resistant balloons more, but I am sure they will.

I figured I would update on this seeing as how I have now gone through every part of the game. It is well worth the cost, and they are still coming out with more updates so the game is still expanding.

There are so many different levels of play here it really is something you can dig deep into. I really like how they offered up the differing awards on each map and grouped different types of monkey towers into the progression. There was a lot of thought put into each tower progression and none are completely useless. There are multiple combinations to have fun with, and the heroes give a great new dynamic. Finally when you think you really have the game down then you have CHIMPS mode. CHIMPS basically takes away almost every cheese strategy there is and forces you to know placement and how the monkeys work together along with the rounds so you can win.

The ability to save a game on each map is a nice improvement.

The game does give you a decent amount of monkey money (In game cash to buy extras) so if you are having trouble you can boost yourself over the hard parts. There are also events and awards that give you costless monkeys with some upgrades. You are always getting something so if you are not the best player in the world you can save up items and money to beat the harder tracks.

The monkey knowledge system was also a great addition that allows you to chose the paths that you progress with boosting tower powers.

    The negatives I found:

This game is a beast for processing. That means that emulators for a computer are going to be bogged down. You are going to need a decent pad to run this. You can do it on a phone, but it is going to be tiny and eat the battery like crazy.

Though I love CHIMPS it can also be horribly frustrating because the game saves only work if you have not lost. Once you lose you cannot go back to previous save points. When you are talking about a game that could take a lot of concentration and a good hour or so it sucks to lose on level 97 of 100 because there is a massive jump in difficulty.
