The listings only go to September. I think we will either get Smash Bros or Mario Galaxy before the end of the year, which one will depend on Metroid Prime 3. If it's a very solid single player game with no or just tacked on multiplayer then I expect to see Smash Bros, if the Metroid Prime 3 multiplayer is well developed then Mario Galaxy. There is talk that Nintendo could go for the hammer smash by releasing both Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy close to each other, but I don't know if there is much chance of that actually happening.
Chronology: Metroid(1986)/Metroid: Zero Mission(2004) Metroid Prime(2002) Metroid Prime: Hunters(2006) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes(2004) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (2007) - last in the Prime saga. Metroid II: Return of Samus(1991) Super Metroid(1994) Metroid Fusion(2002) They also mention that Metroid Prime Pinball does not actually break canon, but rather is a retell of Prime in a pinball format. Fuggin' weird. I can't remember the link, and I don't know if it was posted here, but there is an online comic that was entirely translated by a couple guys. You should try and find it because it is pretty fuckin' sweet.
Slashdot had a story today, which was somewhat questionable, that SSBB and Super Mario Galaxy will be released for the holidays, and Metroid Prime 3 will be pushed back to next March.
Meh. Nowadays it seems like there is a new Mega Man game every month. The first couple games in the original series were classic and the first few from the X series were the pinnacle of 2D gaming. But the rest have just regurgitated the formula ad nauseum.
Can we not bother talking about hentai in every thread? Thanks. I also heard Metroid was going to be pushed back even further.
