Ok, since you guys helped me track down that Russian mystic in the other thread, I'll give ya guys a harder challenge. And this one will include 10 reputation points for the person who gets it. I am trying to track down an old 8-Track my dad had back in the day, and one I always listened to as a kid. I don't need the 8-Track itself, but I am looking for the songs that were on it. 8-Track cassettes usually had about 4 tracks, and 4 songs per track, so there should be a total of about 12 songs. Here's the thing though. I DO remember some of the songs on it, and I remember the 8-Track was black in color, and had an orange sticker on the front, and I THINK it was called "Far Out East". (But I could be remembering another one too, so even I'm not sure of the title.) Some of the songs I remember on it are: San Fransisco by Paul MacKenzie Song Sung Blue by Neil Diamond The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel Love is Blind by Paul Mauriat Green Green Grass of Home by Tom Jones A French song I can hum, but don't know the name to. And that is all I can remember. Everytime I dredge up a song in my head that was from that album, I quickly write it down, and it's taken me literally YEARS to remember the first 6 songs buried deep in my sub-conscience. I've also had help from the radio a couple of times, especially on the Paul Mauriat song, which is just an insturmental. I've tried looking up combinations of these songs on Google, and tried (to no avail) looking for it on what paltry 8-Track lists there are on the internet. Either someone will know where to look, or by chance have had this exact same album. Good luck, because this one I would classify as nearly impossible.
Yes, that's pretty impossible. I have been looking for a certain audio tape (Summer Hits 1979) too and it's impossible. Those songs are on dozens of compilations, often even in the same order. Ever noticed those cheap rock compilations? They always start with Queen
The only thing I found close (the color isn't the same but those change anyway): This Link I'll check my dad's 8 track collection and get back to you. -J.
My uncle still has some and his player still works. The only one I know he has off the top of my head is Dark Side of the Moon.
