    WTF is international law? There is no international gov't or constitution that sets these.

    international law is simply what various countries agree to. If a country opts out, it's over for them. Any other version of this is wishful thinking.

    The US remains a signatory to the UN charter, and has not opted out of the commitments entered into under that.

    I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm just pointing out what the limitations of international law are and that it doesn't have same weight or connotation as the laws within a sovereign nation.
