Here's a good example of why Obama is a cult leader rather than a real one link I bet Halle Berry would lend him her sleeve just for the chance to get close...
So if people applaud at unusual times awkwardly, that makes you a cult leader? What politician isn't a cult leader under this definition?
It is kind of amusing considering all the flack over the W the president stickers by our resident lefties. At least the O the humanity stickers will still be fashionable.
So you're a cult leader if gorgeous stars fawn over you? In any event, here is a list of celebrities who have backed Bush: http://www.entertainersforbush.com/Support.aspx
Ah. So candidates are personally responsible for other people's thinking about them? Explain how that worked for John Hinckley.
Someone else (can't find the post now) was saying that the country is sliding off a platform. Right now, it's at, say 45 degrees. McCain wants to push that to 60, maybe 70 degrees. Clinton to 75, and Obama to about 85. Paul wants to level it, but might only be able to realistically push it to 30 degrees. In the strictest sense, there's change from everyone. But only one candidate's change is change in direction as well as change in speed.
How many of them have made the fawning remarks Halle Berry did? "I'll collect paper cups off the ground to make his pathway clear." Or George Clooney, "He walks into a room and you want to follow him somewhere, anywhere" "This is not a campaign for president of the United States, this is a movement to change the world" - Elijah Cummings, Maryland Congressman It's not just simple rhetoric. It's the rhetoric of the brainwashed.
Can't do it, huh? Besides the subject is not how he's responsible for it but that he's banking on it. He's got nothing else but he does have charisma.
The goalposts, they are moving. I don't really feel like finding various quotes from people saying that Bush is on a mission from God. (Of course, Obama has dipped his toes in those waters too). But they're certainly out there. Or does it only count if the people are sufficiently famous?
Does this mean we can have an Obamasheep icon, or we could be really politically incorrect and have an Obamaswine icon.
Yet another bad example. Reagan had been governor of the largest state in the union. He also had executive level experience. In fact, he had charisma (and that made his first career successful) AND experience which served him well in politics. Both made him qualified and experienced for the job. Whether or not you liked his policies, you've got to admit he was more qualified than Obama is now.
Not at all. I've shown you support for my statement. You have twice now refused to offer your support for your positions. You could probably find them but I'm sure it'd be a tougher search, especially if you limited yourself to the mainstream sources. The difference really is that while there might be fawners for Bush, there was ALSO his record by which to judge him. Obama's record is significantly thinner and the fawners are significantly more numerous and public.
Must be. You certainly didn't have anything of substance to back up your mention of him. Blasphemer!!
Another idiot who doesn't understand Paul and his supporters. And I thought you, at least, had more smarts than Bear and his ilk. I guess I was wrong. That certainly was NOT the kind of change Paul was advocating. Only a misguided and ignorant fool would ever have thought so.
Everything I know about Ron Paul I learned on Wordforge. That you've failed to adequately convey his message other than to say "he's the other white meat" is not my responsibility.
And yet just a few days ago you were chastising Obama critics for not being aware of his positions on the issues. You mentioned that looking up his positions on his website was their responsibility.
That assumes I would have been interested in voting for Paul. I am not now, nor have I ever been, even before the sour grapes and paranoia set it.
So you've basically admitted that you'd rather wallow in your assumptions and prejudices regarding Paul and his supporters than look up his positions.
"Wallowing" implies an emotional investment. Trust me when I tell you I've never invested a moment's emotion in the political future of Ron Paul.
I dislike many of Ron Paul's positions. But, I would much rather see him in the White House than any of the other Democratic or Republican front runners.
And yet, you believe Obama critics should look up his positions before criticizing him and are responsible to look those positions up themselves...yet when you are ignorant of a candidate, it is not your responsibility to know their positions and in fact you blame their supporters for not adequately presenting them??? You are somehow exempt from your own standards because you were never interested in voting for anyone else? Yet, you are arrogant enough to make remarks and comments about a politician and his supporters you haven't taken the time to check out? How anyone can take you seriously at all anymore defies imagination. *cue passive-aggressive tripe*
