A lot of the concerns over people falling prey to fake news and propaganda wouldn't be an issue if the Republicans hadn't systematically dismantled the nation's education system over the last three or four decades. If we had an adult populace capable of critical, rational thought, we would have far less of a need to filter out BS news stories. It's almost as if the GOP planned this on purpose.
Jesus wept. So you're conflating the Russian state with Russian people, which you denied when I asked you above. You're also saying "not all Russians, but most". Somehow you seem oblivious to how close that is to Dinner's "not all Muslims, but most are animals" and the classic "not all black people". Another off day is it?
I agree that "let's do nothing, the market will sort it out eventually" is sometimes naive. However, it is neither always right nor always wrong. And in this case, it actually does seem to be happening. And if it weren't ... well, there are some problems where the problem is less dangerous than the "cure."
Well, Richard Spencer has stopped publicizing his speeches at universities... after Antifi protested and disrupted too many of them. And it does seem like there's been a slowdown in Nazi rallies in America... Ever since Antifa and anti-racists started showing up and protesting the rallies in numbers several times that of the Nazis themselves. And Spencer is no longer on Facebook... after Zuckerberg banned him. But no, it's the reasonable debate that's winning the fight.
