Credit card companies try to be arbiters of morality, and so they lay heavily on companies like OF, who only exist because sex workers made their platform popular. So many of my friends who are sex workers are constantly in an uphill battle with credit processors because they don't want to handle what are otherwise legitimate business transactions between consenting adults. All I ever saw on Tumblr was those accounts that offered a limited preview of their content with links to their Patreon if you wanted more content or earlier access, so basically the same sort of promotions you get on Instagram or Twitter.

I could see them getting to the point where they need to crack down on illegal materials. I could see the credit card companies making a fuss if there were snuff, rape, or kiddie porn videos on the site. I am talking about stuff that is real and not acted really well. OK, maybe you need to verify better to make sure it is all consensual adult content and viewers. You are getting very close to potentially funding some awful illegal activities if you do not moderate.

i can also understand a desire to get advertiser cash, and that big advertisers might not be happy with the content and look elsewhere. However, do not crack down on your huge gathering of content creators. You are not going to beat youtube in their game, but you could do some better stuff.

If you need to expand the market, then expand it for adult content creators of all types, and scap up the ones getting demonetized on youtube. Maybe put your income on a membership basis and start funding some games with adult content too. If you need advertising revenue pitch your own premium content from free content.
