    That's 13,333,333.3 per year.

    13 million arrests out of an over 18 population of what? 250 million or so people?


    Doesn't that amount to something like 6-7 percent of the adult population per year?

    Doesn't seem all that great to me.

    That would include lots of misdemeanor or low grade felony arrests as well.

    I also wonder if the term "homicide" as used in the article is misleading. You must note on the official documents that there is no category for deaths caused by justified uses of force, they're simply listed as "deaths due to any use of force" (bold theirs) on the card sent to law enforcement agencies.
