Thanks for another couple of hours wasted looking at goofy pics!

No, seriously, this is a fascinating concept...

Edit: Through 10 pages, I note a disturbing number of apparent cross-dressers who aren't even trying hard to pass. 5 or 6 of them at least. One guy on page 9 or 10 with a reasonable although typically exaggerated attempt - but with no wig, whatever illusion he was going for is completely off the rails. Another one is ewearing clearly fem clothes and has a mustache!

But I guess none of these people are trying hard to look good so maybe that's to be expected.

Edit2: One thing to wonder - some folks wearing weird ass cloths begs the question - someone had to MAKE those outfits to SELL.

    Also, loving the pimped-out rides!

On the other hand, a few of these people are clearly in costume and that's kind of a cheap entry. The fun's in the people who think there's nothing wrong with how they look.

This should really be merged with the "what makes you weep for mankind" thread from a couple of days ago.

But it really is the site that demanded to be made IMO - love it!

BTW too bad there's no way to visually capture the employees/associate pathetically inept attempts at "customer service."

OK be honest . . . how many of you are looking through that site wondering if someone has furtively snapped a photo of you?

Hey, man, I worked as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart, and I actually DID try to help people.

I can promise you the ineptitude is on both sides of the fence. It is possible to be a shitty customer.

Although, I will admit, most of the other employees didn't give a shit or were too nervous to deal with customers.

If WalMart is just America at its best and worst then this site really does say a lot about the U.S. I'm not sure whether to book my flight to Australia now or just go with it full-bore.

I really want to go to America. One, to spend loads of money at Sephora ( ) and two, to see if all these cars with things stuck on them genuinely exist.

I've personally never seen a car like that and I truly don't understand what would possess someone to do that to a vehicle. :wtf:

Yesterday, I did see a car that made me think of People of WalMart, though. It was an old-style VW Beetle painted primer gray with Batman symbols on the trunk/boot in front and on the rear window.

It was near a WalMart, but the driver didn't appear to be driving to or from the WalMart.

I didn't know Jennifer Lopez shopped at Walmart!
I can picture her husband working there, however.....as a janitor.

They have one of those overpriced gyp-joints near Times Square.
Talk about some fruity dudes that work there (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Anyway, I think America could really excel at the next Olympics.
We can put Walmart employees in all the races.
Tell them there's a customer with a question coming up behind them,
and they will take off like greased lightning!

    What's a gyp-joint?

They have loads of great cosmetic brands that are hard to get hold of in the UK (outside of the big cities). And all under one roof!

Meh. I've always been pretty happy with the service I get here locally. I've seen incidences that were poor but on the whole, I wouldn't complain.

Also, I haven't often seen anything really wild looking in the customers either. for a while there was this pair of Amazon lesbians (apparently) who lived in the county. Two pretty nice looking women (if you go in for tall girls which I don't) both of which were over 6' tall and who often wore big cowboy hats. They drove an old Ford Bronco which was painted green and had a Klingon symbol on the back glass and a caption (something like "Klingon High Command" or something but not specifically that)

Made me think of those sisters in TNG...

But they were just odd, not hard on the eyes necessarily.

I've worked at Target for three years now, and while I've had a few dickish/nutso/batshit insane guests come through my checkout, those were the extreme minority. And when I worked on the sales floor, I never remember seeing a rude guest, ever, and only one pissed off guest when at the food court...but the fault was entirely ours, when we were out of nearly everything she wanted to buy. Maybe I'm lucky. :clyde:

The Wal-Mart in my town flat-out sucks. My mom and brother went there to buy a blender, and they got three employees that didn't know or care to look up if they had more in the back. It's damn near impossible to find anyone on the floor if you need help with carrying a large item. Even with my own issues with working there and most likely I'm going to quit in the next month, I'll gladly shop there over Wal-Mart any day. :jayzus:

The interesting thing to me is the subtle positioning Wal*Mart does.

Out in Hawaii, Wal*Mart actually has good and useful stuff. Back here in Portland, Wal*Mart sucks.

My theory is, since there are so many other places to buy good, useful stuff in Portland and therefore most people won't go to Wal*Mart for it, they focus on their target market here. In Hawaii, where there are far fewer options, Wal*Mart carries more upscale (and more diverse) products.

Just go to any college campus, and it's like a bumper sticker museum of "Save the Earth" "Obama Nation" and "I'm a naughty girl."

Just wait til you get a look at the fake bullet-hole decals, the fake testicles dangling from truck hitches, and the motorcycles that look like Matchbox made them.
