For the 2006 Forgie Awards. It will be too hectic, and the stickies will be in the way if there isn't one. Chances are SOMEONE is going to get mad at the half page worth of threads taking up their precious red room space (UA anyone?) and that way its not bothering anyone who doesn't want to say it. It worked for the elections, so why not this?
Yep. I'll need one massive thread to nominate people for categories and 10 to 15 threads for people to vote on said categories. How did I get myself into this? Tex, you owe me money!!
Wait. Check fire here. After I dunno how many months, we don't have a Careerforge/Batboy forum; after even longer we still haven't come up with a smilie tool that doesn't take a day and a half and have shit like igeonmasturbating: and this gets its own forum with two hours and a coupl'a posts by freakin newbies?
I just learned how to do it and figured screwing up this wouldn't have pissed anyone off..lol. Luckily, I got it in one. I doubt you will ever see a Batboy forum.
Why the fuck not? And why can't you just come out and say that? And what about the shelter thread release? Gallery? Rep given?
Because we generally don't name/base forums after/on posters? The Advice forum I am working on possibilities with Elwood as we speak. I have hardly been here since Christmas, gimme a break! Shelter release...dunno. Gallery and Rep Given....Technical Admin is working on it. And now we have only one. He will have to update on these issues because I have no idea.
The new advice forum, The Gold Room: http://www.wordforge.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=98 Enjoy!
You're still a newbie, foil. You will always be a newbie. But true. Scorp presented the idea first. Then I mentioned it about a half-year later. Then when Batboy brought it up it finally got a little traction--although it still took a lot of pushing by a lot of people to get it. I think the secret of Batboy's success was that he used zombies in his pitch. Oh, and I will rep some people here, but somehow I'm out.
I really, really, really need a mod or two to go lock every nomination thread I started. The other ones... I have no say over them. They're a totally separate thing as far as I'm concerned. But I really really need the 15 threads I made locked (but NOT NOT deleted) so I can go look at the nominations and make polls soon. Please!
If you read the two posts above this one, you will have your answer. People really should read threads before they post in them.
In the Forgie Awards Subforum, I am about to make a "First Annual Forgie Awards Gala Event!" thread where I will later announce all the winners and runner-ups. I'll need it stickied to the top, if that's okay. That'll be the last of my use of the subforum, and all the polls that are stickied now can be deleted in about 3 days or so, once everything has been announced and people have had enough of a chance to argue about who won what and why. But right now I just need that soon-to-be-made thread stickied.
