Built this crazy-ass Steampunk model kit: Then added a scratch-built Gatling gun and put it into action: More pics: http://www.inpayne.com/models/hornethopter.html
Just a few random things. [?=A few from the 4th of July Fireworks] [/?] [?=Littlewood playing in the yard.] [/?] [?=Part of my drive home this evening.] [/?] [?=My church. I was hoping it would turn out a little better than it did.] [/?]
First bedroom [?=During wash-up]It's not obvious here, but half a century of smoking built up a fair bit of ick on the walls. See the white (dried part) at the top of the middle section and compare with what's to the left. It didn't help that the bedroom walls all had flat paint on them. We're using a satin finish everywhere, except for semi-gloss in strategic places. [/?] [?=Done painting]The colors are much deeper than the camera picked up. The dark one is gorgeous! The color at left is the same as the color above. Crazy camera. Maybe I'll try the "natural light" setting tomorrow. [/?]
Out walking the other day, took this shot of my street. My house is just out of sight behind the trees right of center.
Last month the folks across the street's oven caught fire. Today their Carbon monoxide detector went off. Both occurred at dinner time. I think they owe the FD a dinner! Ah, the gentle glow of emergency vehicle lights dancing upon my walls!
Here's the world-famous Pooky sitting in her cube, waiting for a victim to come along House is painted, here's the front room: Hi there!
I'm not a huge fan of natural windows and baseboards, but that is a fairly nice color of wood to go with that paint.
